All good things must come to an end. Kathryn Dennis<\/strong><\/a> revealed she is leaving Southern Charm<\/em><\/a> after eight seasons.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat a wild ride it\u2019s been!\u201d Dennis, 31, told People<\/em><\/a> in a statement on Wednesday, January 11. \u201cCan you believe I was 21 when I first started filming\u00a0Southern Charm<\/em>, back in its first season? That was in 2013, and in the decade that followed, it\u2019s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine. It hasn\u2019t always been easy, but I\u2019m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I\u2019ll never forget (and a few, even, that I\u2019d like to).\u201d<\/p>\n The model, who has been part cast since the show\u2019s inception in 2014, thanked fans for watching her \u201cgrow up\u201d and become a \u201cmom to two amazing children and build friendships I\u2019ll always treasure.\u201d Dennis shares daughter Kensington Calhoun, 8, and son Saint Julian, 6, with former castmate Thomas Ravenel<\/strong><\/a>, who appeared on seasons 1 through 6 of the reality series before exiting amid sexual assault allegations<\/a>. The former politician settled the lawsuit filed against him in 2019. (Ravenel, 60, also shares son Jonathan, 2, with ex Heather Mascoe<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cThrough it all, the love y\u2019all have shown for me not only gave me the strength I needed to tackle it all, but helped me realize that I wasn\u2019t alone. I\u2019m so grateful. \u201cI\u2019ll be carrying that love with me as I enter this next chapter of my life, away from the\u00a0Southern Charm<\/em>\u00a0lens. I\u2019m thankful for Bravo, the producers at Haymaker and my Charleston cast mates for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n The South Carolina native explained that while she\u2019ll miss her time on the hit\u00a0Bravo series, she is excited to see what the next chapter might bring. \u201cIf it\u2019s anything like the last decade, it\u2019ll be a memorable ride. LFG [let\u2019s f\u2013king go],\u201d she concluded her statement.<\/p>\n News of Dennis\u2019 exit comes one day after Deadline<\/em><\/a> reported that she would be billed as a guest star<\/a> on Southern Charm\u2019s<\/em> upcoming ninth season. The mom of two initially began the series as a part-time cast member\u00a0<\/b>but was\u00a0<\/b>upgraded to series regular in season 2 after she and Ravenel\u00a0sparked a romance.<\/p>\n Season 8 of the show followed Dennis\u2019 latest relationship with now-ex Chleb\u00a0Ravenell<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/b>The pair were first linked in 2020 but called it quits during production.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery time we would film, it\u2019d just be an argument,\u201d Ravenell, 34, exclusively told\u00a0Us Weekl<\/em>y\u00a0in July 2022 about watching their romance and breakup on the show<\/a>. \u201cIt was getting petty. So we were just like, \u2018You know what? We should just break this off.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cShe wasn\u2019t telling me what she was going through. She was telling me she was going through like court cases and stuff where her kids and custody battles [were involved] \u2026 She wasn\u2019t telling me about her relationships [with the cast]. I was just coming in blind, helping her. And then it kind of just all fell on me.\u201d<\/p>\n It hasn\u2019t been confirmed if the Ravenell will appear on season 9 of Southern Charm<\/em>, which also stars Craig Conover<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Shep Rose<\/strong><\/a>, Austen Kroll<\/strong><\/a>, Venita Aspen<\/strong><\/a> and Leva Bonaparte<\/strong><\/a>.
