Kaia Gerber relished her LA return<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old actress stars alongside Igby Rigney, Homer Gere, Graham Campbell, Hayes Warner and Wes Bentley in The Shards, the new thriller series, and Kaia admits that she relished returning to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Hayes for Interview magazine, Kaia shared: “Filming reignited my love for LA because I moved to New York, and I lived there for a few years. Then, I moved back here to work, and I was like, ‘It is lonely’. <\/p>\n
“But now, I\u2019ve been in this area for six years, and I\u2019m very close to all the references. All the streets in the book that Bret Easton Ellis talks about, a lot of the locations were five minutes from my house. It was actually incredible, a real dream.”<\/p>\n

Kaia left Los Angeles when she was just 16 years old, and she loved the experience of spending quality time with her co-stars in the city.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “After work, we\u2019d all come to my house and talk about it. <\/p>\n
\n“Also, I\u2019ve never had a friend group in LA because I left when I was 16. So, it was my first time having that. <\/p>\n
\n“Hayes would come by in her convertible, I would hop in, we\u2019d go pick up Graham. Music and driving the streets that we were filming on that day. <\/p>\n
\n“It was so meta in that way, but it made me fall in love with LA all over again.” <\/p>\n
\nKaia – who is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber – admits that she rarely forms friendships with her work colleagues.<\/p>\n
\nBut The Shards set felt very different, as she formed some lasting friendships.<\/p>\n
\nThe brunette beauty – who has also enjoyed success as a model – said: “I think, as an actor, you do your job regardless of the real-life circumstances. And sometimes you have to go pretend to be best friends with people and you don\u2019t speak to them outside of it. I don\u2019t think either of us ever ate lunch alone in our trailers.”<\/p>\n
