Denise Richards<\/a> addressed the assumption that she is still in love with her ex Charlie Sheen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the Monday, August 3, episode of Bunnie Xo<\/strong>\u2018s \u201cDumb Blonde\u201d podcast<\/a>, Richards, 55, was asked about her involvement in Sheen\u2019s September 2025 docuseries, aka Charlie Sheen<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the thing some people, I think, misunderstood,\u201d Richards noted. \u201cI did a documentary. I didn\u2019t see the second part \u2014 I saw the first part. I love him as [my kids\u2019] dad. And it\u2019s not even a brother-sister relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richards clarified that she didn\u2019t see Sheen<\/a> as a best friend either, adding, \u201cWe\u2019re friends. I mean, do you know what I mean? I can\u2019t talk to him the way I can talk to some other friends of mine. And I love him. I always have love for him being their dad. But as far as romantic love, no. Not at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bunnie, 46, pointed out how aka Charlie Sheen<\/em> appeared to hint at unresolved feelings between the pair.<\/p>\n

\u201cGlad we cleared that up because I did watch the documentary, and from the way they shot the documentary \u2026 I don\u2019t want to say they made it seem like you still had feelings for him, but there\u2019s so much there with you guys,\u201d Bunnie said.<\/p>\n

Richards replied, \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of emotion because there\u2019s things that he didn\u2019t even know. A lot that he did not know and how I had to navigate so much s***.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aka Charlie Sheen<\/em> highlighted the actor\u2019s rise to stardom and subsequent fall amid addiction struggles. Richards and Sheen\u2019s ex Brooke Mueller<\/strong> were interviewed about their respective relationships with him.<\/p>\n

Now, Richards clarified that she and Sheen, 60, have a \u201cgreat relationship\u201d \u2014 and he is in a good place with their daughters<\/a>. (The former couple, who were married from 2002 to 2006, share Sami, 22, and Lola, 21.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has its moments because sometimes it\u2019s better than others,\u201d the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em> alum admitted. \u201cI hope one day they feel comfortable enough and safe enough where they could just be open and say certain things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richards also revealed that Sheen lives nearby. \u201cI can give him s*** and joke around with him. He respects me, and I respect him, too,\u201d she added. \u201cI want only the best for him and want him to do well. He knows if he needs anything, I\u2019m here. I think it\u2019s important for us, always, to maintain a relationship. We have daughters.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress continued: \u201cI think, along the way, that was hard for him. I would say, \u2018No matter what\u2019s going on with you and I, let\u2019s put our s**** aside. They don\u2019t need to be dragged into anything.\u2019 And oftentimes that wouldn\u2019t happen, and it is what it is. But at the end of the day, he knows that I only have their best interest [in mind], and his, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
