Andrew Garfield<\/strong><\/a> says he’d need Spider-Man<\/strong><\/a><\/em> to get “very odd” if he were to play the character again.<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old two-time Academy Award nominee was asked about returning to the web-swinging role during an interview with The Playlist<\/a><\/em> published on Monday (August 3) and shared what it would take to make him suit up again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would need it to be very, very odd,\u201d Andrew<\/strong> said. \u201cI would need it to be very strange, and I would need it to be completely unconventional and almost \u2014 I wouldn\u2019t say boring \u2014 but I would want it to be just completely unexpected, like a genre of Spider-Man that you\u2019ve never seen before, that feels very left field.\u201d<\/p>\n

He provided “a road trip movie” as an example of something he would be interested in doing.<\/p>\n

Last year, during the Middle East Film & Comic Con he also said he would “love to play the character again in some capacity,” but only if it was “very weird.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI would want to do something very unique and offbeat and surprising,” the Hacksaw Ridge<\/em> star said at the time.<\/p>\n

Andrew<\/strong> last played Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> alongside previous Spidey star Tobey Maguire<\/strong><\/a> and the MCU’s current Spider-Man, Tom Holland<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

However, he has already dismissed theories that he might be back for Avengers: Doomsday<\/em> and he wasn’t in Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tom Holland<\/strong> has starred as Spider-Man in seven MCU films thus far and this is what Sony and Marvel bosses have had to say about his future as the character<\/a>.<\/p>\n
