James Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a>‘s wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a>, has shared an emotional tribute to honor the late actor on what would have been their 16th wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

On Saturday (August 1), she shared several throwback photos of her and her husband to Instagram<\/a>, writing, \u201cThe beauty of this marriage continues to unfold everyday with all these incredible children we have. He continues to be present and guide us. I’m eternally grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the first wedding anniversary since James <\/strong>passed away at age 48 amid a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer in February. They initially married in August 2010 in Tel Aviv, Israel. <\/p>\n

The couple shared six kids together, including Olivia<\/strong>, 15, Annabel<\/strong>, 12, Emilia <\/strong>10, Gwendolyn<\/strong>, 8, Joshua<\/strong>, 14, and Jeremiah<\/strong>, 4. <\/p>\n

Kimberly <\/strong>previously shared tributes to the Dawson’s Creek<\/em> alum on Father’s Day<\/a> and on his first posthumous birthday<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n

“Missing you so much and thinking of how magnificent you were in every single way today. And somehow, from the other side? You continue to parent. You\u2019re a marvel,” she wrote on the Father’s Day post.<\/p>\n

She also revealed that while James <\/strong>was on his deathbed, the couple chose to renew their vows<\/a>, including new rings and filling their bedroom with flowers and candles. <\/p>\n
