The remarks come as Shia has remained in the headlines following legal proceedings earlier this year over a battery case in New Orleans, where he pleaded guilty to simple battery charges stemming from a Mardi Gras altercation. <\/p>\n

Scott, the son of Clint Eastwood, is best known for films including The Longest Ride, The Fate of the Furious and Suicide Squad, while Shia rose to fame as a child star in Disney Channel\u2019s Even Stevens before leading the Transformers franchise and later earning acclaim for more dramatic performances including Honey Boy and Fury.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on the podcast, Scott said: \u201cLook, Shia is clearly tormented and has maybe got some stuff going on. It was tough.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cOne day, he was having an episode and thought I shouldn\u2019t be spitting tobacco on the tank \u2013 which was in the script \u2013 and then I finally said enough is enough.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said, \u2018F*** you. Stop pulling your s***.\u2019 I said, \u2018I\u2019m gonna whoop your a**\u2019.\u201c<\/p>\n
\nScott said Brad stepped in to defuse the confrontation before it escalated further.<\/p>\n
\nHe also described Shia\u2019s approach to acting as intensely method.<\/p>\n
\nScott said: \u201cAnd I remember thinking, \u2018OK. This guy\u2019s crazy. I\u2019m just gonna keep clear from this guy. I don\u2019t play this game\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe claimed Shia\u2019s behaviour affected others working on the production.<\/p>\n
\nScott said: \u201cEveryone had moments with Shia.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cGrow the f*** up.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s funny. The film industry attracts psychopaths because it\u2019s art and business and they kind of intersect.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAccording to Page Six, representatives for Shia have been approached for comment.<\/p>\n
\nShia has previously spoken publicly about struggles with alcohol addiction and has attended rehabilitation programmes. <\/p>\n
\nEarlier this year, he pleaded guilty to battery charges following an incident during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.<\/p>\n
\nThe latest claims are not the first to emerge about alleged tensions involving Shia on a film set.<\/p>\n
\nDuring the production of the 2012 crime drama Lawless, reports circulated Shia had knocked co-star Tom Hardy unconscious during filming.<\/p>\n
\nShia later rejected those claims during an appearance on the YouTube series Hot Ones in 2019.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cYeah, it\u2019s a bunch of bulls***.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe used to wrestle all the time and he\u2019s a big f****** person, especially then. He was getting ready (to play) Bane (in The Dark Knight Rises.)\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, Lawless director John Hillcoat later suggested there had been a genuine altercation between the actors.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Collider in January, John said: \u201cThere was definitely a fight between them.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt escalated to the point where they had to both be restrained. But I was very pleased to hear it didn\u2019t go that way because I would hate to see the outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
