The first Dancing With the Stars <\/i><\/a>season 35 troupe member has been revealed!<\/p>\n

News broke at DWTS Con on Sunday, August 2, that Kamri Peterson <\/b>will perform in the troupe<\/span><\/a> for the upcoming season of the hit ballroom competition. The rest of the cast lineup is set to be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n

DWTS <\/i>fans will remember Kamri, now 18, as one of the \u201cjunior pros\u201d<\/span><\/a> on the short-lived youth version of the competition. DWTS: Juniors <\/i>only ran for one season in 2018, where Kamri cha-cha\u2019d with former Scripps National Spelling Bee champ Akash Vukoti<\/b> under the tutelage of mentor Witney Carson<\/b>. (Skateboarder Sky Brown <\/b>and JT Church <\/b>ultimately won the show as members of Team Alan Bersten<\/b>.)<\/p>\n

After leaving DWTS: Juniors, <\/i>Kamri has continued her ballroom training and even worked alongside fellow pros Rylee Arnold <\/b>and Ezra Sosa<\/b>, in addition to longtime choreographer Mandy Moore<\/b>. She also attended multiple season 34 tapings last year, in which Witney, 32, took home the mirrorball<\/a> with celebrity partner Robert Irwin<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Dancing With the Stars\u00a0ballroom is filling up fast for season 35. While simultaneously confirming the reality competition\u2019s renewal, Hulu shared during the Get Real House event in April that Summer House\u2019s Ciara Miller and Love Island star Maura Higgins would be lacing up their dancing shoes. The following month, Savannah Bananas second baseman Jackson [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As for her professional accolades, Kamri has won the World ProAm champions, is a three-time <\/span>Latin National Vice Champion and a 12-time Latin finalist. She also once represented the United States at the <\/span>Open World Championships in Paris.<\/p>\n

Kamri is far from the first DWTS: Juniors <\/i>star to make the leap to the main show. Rylee, 21, was named a pro on DWTS <\/i>for 2023\u2019s season 32, while Hailey Bills <\/b>made her troupe debut<\/span><\/a> in season 34.<\/p>\n

The rest of the DWTS <\/i>pro roster has not been revealed, with the dancers often learning the news <\/span><\/a>just weeks (or days) before the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cTypically, once we have a list of the pros that are gonna be on, we then, at some point, we\u2019ll get the opportunity to hear who\u2019s gonna be [on the show],\u201d show host Alfonso Ribeiro<\/b> exclusively told Us<\/i><\/span><\/a> in September 2025. \u201cBut it\u2019s never final, right? It\u2019s ever-changing, and there were some pairings that were different three weeks ago [this year].\u201d<\/p>\n

Ribeiro, 54, further explained that dance partnerships can continue \u201cto evolve\u201d as casting changes up until the premiere date.<\/p>\n
