Jim Root<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out amid reports his bandmate Sid Wilson<\/strong><\/a> was kicked out of Slipknot.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t see the news, it was reported on Friday night (July 31) that Sid<\/strong> had permanently removed<\/a> from Slipknot<\/strong> earlier that day, ending his 28-year run with the nu metal group.<\/p>\n

Hours after the news made headlines, Jim<\/strong> took to his Instagram Story<\/a> to share a cryptic message, seemingly addressing the drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t believe everything you read,” the guitarist wrote. \u201cThink. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile (sic). Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there\u2019s more information.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jim<\/strong> set his message to Slipknot<\/strong>‘s 2008 song \u201c\u2018Til We Die.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of right now, Sid<\/strong> has not addressed reports that he’s been kicked out of the band.<\/p>\n

Sid<\/strong> was one of the nine original members of Slipknot<\/strong>. He\u2019d been with the band since 1999 and is among the latest of the original members to leave following Chris Frehn<\/strong> and Craig Jones<\/strong>. Sadly, Joey Jordison<\/strong> passed away in 2021 and Paul Gray<\/strong> died in 2010.<\/p>\n

Jim<\/strong> remains one of the OG members still with the group along with Shawn \u201cClown\u201d Crahan<\/strong>, Mick Thomson<\/strong>, and Corey Taylor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Reports of Sid<\/strong>‘s firing from Slipknot <\/strong>comes months after his split from Kelly Osbourne<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
