Liam Gallagher<\/a>, 53, for \u00a34.25 million after owning the house for 25 years, saying he and his wife, Poppy Teacher, are returning to London so she can pursue a master\u2019s degree in early modern history.<\/p>\nThe move comes as Liam continues to enjoy renewed public attention following Oasis\u2019 hugely successful reunion tour, which has dominated music headlines and marked the band\u2019s first performances together in more than a decade. <\/p>\n
Tony, regarded as one of Arsenal\u2019s greatest-ever players and also known to television audiences from his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, said he and Poppy had decided to begin a new chapter in London while she returns to higher education. <\/p>\n

The couple are currently renting while looking for a permanent home in north London.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to the Daily Mail, Tony said: \u201cThis is a new era for us. We\u2019ve sold the house and are returning to London. My wife is going back to school.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nPoppy explained the decision to study had initially prompted a practical question from her husband.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI told Tony I wanted to do early modern history and he said, \u2018How do you monetise that?\u2019 And I said, \u2018You don\u2019t!\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I think he\u2019s proud. He\u2019s telling everyone I\u2019m doing a PhD, but it\u2019s a masters.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTony said the couple are specifically searching for a home in north London.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cWe\u2019re not going back to the Chelsea area where all the Blues are.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTony and Poppy have been married for 22 years. <\/p>\n
\nThe former England defender previously spoke openly about rebuilding his life after overcoming alcoholism, with Poppy entering his life following his recovery. <\/p>\n
\nTony was previously married to Jane Shea, with whom he shares three children, while he and Poppy also have three children together.<\/p>\n
\nPoppy said she now wants to focus on her own ambitions after spending years raising their family.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI\u2019ve brought up the children, but now I need to use my brain again. Tony and I want to have a London life, do things like go to galleries.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe property, in the village of Coates near Cirencester, includes five acres of land, a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables and a separate two-bedroom cottage.<\/p>\n
\nLiam completed the purchase in December after relocating to neighbouring Stroud in 2024, where he had been renting a mansion while Oasis prepared for its reunion concerts.<\/p>\n
\nFollowing reports of the purchase, Liam addressed local residents on X.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote: \u201cTo all the BEAUTIFUL people from the cotswolds I come in peace you won\u2019t even know I\u2019m there I\u2019m not like all those divvy celebrities who like to show off I\u2019m LO FI as you were LG x.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLast week, Liam also reflected on settling into life in the area during an interview with The Sun.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cPeople round here mind their own business, and I mind mine. I\u2019m not out every night, and I\u2019m not doing anything dodgy.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMy neighbours have been lovely. One of them bakes us cakes, and if I\u2019m in the pub they\u2019ll buy me a drink.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLiam has remained in the spotlight throughout Oasis\u2019s reunion, with the band\u2019s long-awaited return to the stage becoming one of the biggest live music events of the year. <\/p>\n
\nAlongside brother Noel Gallagher, 59, he has reunited to perform classic hits including Wonderwall, Don\u2019t Look Back in Anger, Live Forever and Champagne Supernova, bringing an end to years of speculation over whether the pair would share a stage again.<\/p>\n
