Upsetting news for fans of Marvel’s Wonder Man<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The show has just been canceled after only one season on Disney+. The series starred Yahya Abdul Mateen II <\/strong>and Ben Kingsley<\/strong> as Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery. X Mayo<\/strong>, Demetrius Grosse<\/strong>, Arian Moayed <\/strong>and Olivia Thirlby <\/strong>were all part of the cast as well. Destin Daniel Cretton<\/strong> and Andrew Guest<\/strong> created the series.<\/p>\n

Wonder Man<\/em> was canceled despite being renewed for a second season<\/h3>\n

You may recall that the show was actually previously renewed<\/a>. About two months after it debuted in March of 2026, it was announced that the show had been renewed.<\/p>\n

However, Variety<\/a> <\/em>is now reporting that “a writers\u2019 room for Season 2 was never opened and the show\u2019s writers have been released to pursue other projects.”<\/p>\n

Just because Wonder Man<\/em> is canceled, does not mean the characters are permanently done in the MCU<\/h3>\n

A source added to Variety<\/em> that the “characters featured in the series could still appear in other Marvel projects in the future.”<\/p>\n

It’s a big year for Marvel. Tomorrow, the new Spider-Man<\/em> film, Brand New Day<\/em>, hits theaters. In December, the star-studded Avengers: Doomsday <\/em>is set to debut.<\/a><\/p>\n
