Hilaria Baldwin<\/strong><\/a> got candid about her past struggles with eating disorders.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI did all of it. I did anorexia, I did bulimia, I did overeating, I did undereating,\u201d the Baldwins<\/em> star, 42, recalled during a Tuesday, July 28, episode of SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cPage Six Radio.\u201d<\/a> Baldwin said it became so severe there was a time she was \u201cafraid of how many calories might be in toothpaste.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI look back and I looked fine. But I thought I was a whale [back then],\u201d Baldwin said, noting that she \u201cstarted dieting\u201d when she was only 5 years old. \u201cI just thought there was something broken inside of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, the Dancing With the Stars<\/em> alum can proudly say that she did \u201ca lot of work\u201d to heal and overcome the distorted way she viewed her body. \u201cI don\u2019t want to live this way; I\u2019m miserable,\u201d she said while reflecting on her journey. \u201cI can\u2019t have good relationships, I can\u2019t have good friendships, I can\u2019t eat out to dinner with people. It\u2019s just so, so, so stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldwin also wants to make sure that her seven kids<\/a>, Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 8, Eduardo, 5, Mar\u00eda, 5, and Ilaria, 3, whom she shares with husband Alec Baldwin<\/strong>, have a healthy relationship with food.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I try to do with my kids is empower them, talk about strength, talk about, \u2018How does the food make you feel?\u2019\u201d Hilaria explained, noting she never wants to \u201cshame\u201d them for eating an unhealthy snack.<\/p>\n
