George Clooney<\/strong><\/a> and has family have been forced to evacuate amid the ongoing wildfires across Europe.<\/p>\n

The 65-year-old Oscar-winning actor, his wife Amal<\/a><\/strong>, and their 9-year-old twins Alexander<\/strong> and Ella<\/strong> life in the town of Brignoles, in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur region of southeastern France. They have been forced to evacuate that home as it is in one of the many regions where wildfires are currently burning across France, Spain, Italy, and Greece.<\/p>\n

The married couple revealed their evacuation in a letter to the mayor of Brignoles, a rep for George<\/strong> confirmed to People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDear Didier, At this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment,” George<\/strong> began. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs we evacuate Brignoles we want to emphasise 2 things, first we hope you and the people of our city are safe and second that Amal and I are committed to making sure that whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and we\u2019ll be part of making it whole,” the Ocean’s Eleven<\/em> actor added. \u201cWe love Brignoles and our friends who live there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The wildfires are currently four times the size of Paris, according to the Associated Press. Around 224,000 people were evacuated in the Gironde region of France and another 3,000 in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur region, per\u00a0CNN<\/em><\/a>. Meanwhile, at least 63,152 people were evacuated in Spain.<\/p>\n

Along with their farm in France, George<\/strong> and Amal<\/strong>, 48, also own an estate in England, a villa on Lake Como in Italy, and another property near his family in Kentucky. Late last year, George<\/strong>, Amal<\/strong>, and their twins were granted French citizenship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a very rare interview, Amal<\/strong> shared some insight into her personal life<\/a>.<\/p>\n
