Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a> broke down exactly what led to her and Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s sexless marriage \u2014 and eventual split \u2014 on the In the City<\/em><\/a> reunion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was depressed. Depression will do that. That was part of it,\u201d Amanda, 34, shared on the Tuesday, July 28, episode of the hit Bravo series when asked about why she and estranged husband, Kyle, 43, didn\u2019t have sex for four years before their January announcement confirming the pair had called it quits<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kyle chimed in, claiming, \u201cWe went into a funk immediately after our wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Loverboy founder alleged, \u201cI tried for years to get us into couples therapy\u201d following their September 2021 nuptials.<\/p>\n

Amanda, for her part, told their castmates during part 2 of the In the City<\/em> reunion that their issues in the bedroom<\/a> began well before they tied the knot.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a conversation we had in therapy also before our wedding, that I didn\u2019t feel like \u2014 Kyle wasn\u2019t courting me. This is how I felt,\u201d Amanda explained. \u201cI wasn\u2019t being courted. There were no dates.\u201d<\/p>\n

She claimed, \u201cHe would work all day, work all night, then come to bed, tell me to answer an email and then try to have sex with me. It felt like there was no foreplay. There was no emotional intimacy. There was no conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amanda noted that because \u201cnothing else [was] happening in the relationship\u201d she didn\u2019t feel excited to engage in intimate moments with her spouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt, this was not his intention or what he was doing, I felt [used]. I felt like I was just an object at that point,\u201d Amanda confessed. \u201cThen the depression hit also. Then it was an unfortunate storm.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Amanda Batula Swim founder alleged that Kyle would \u201cstill go out\u201d and party \u2014 in addition to DJing into the late hours \u2014 so they would \u201cget into big fights.\u201d<\/p>\n

That tension, according to Amanda, didn\u2019t help their romantic relationship prior to their separation. (During season 1 of In the City<\/em>, fans learned that Amanda told Kyle she was moving out in September 2025<\/a> on their four-year anniversary in hopes to help their marriage, but she never moved back in.)<\/p>\n

\u201cCan you imagine, this is not like a guy-girl thing. We get married and we never have sex,\u201d Kyle asked his castmates. \u201cWe didn\u2019t have sex \u2014 technically it wasn\u2019t four years of nothing. We had, like, sex three times. I\u2019m just saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amanda, however, claimed that she \u201cexpressed\u201d her desires to him, and allegedly told Kyle \u201cI want to be taken out on dates\u201d and go for drinks but he was too busy.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst I\u2019m a workaholic, now I\u2019m an alcoholic. I could never do anything,\u201d a defeated Kyle explained. \u201cMeanwhile, I\u2019m providing. Everything in our life was on my shoulders<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle alleged that \u201cevery single thing we did\u201d was because he \u201carranged it,\u201d including every trip, vacation or dinner.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m putting in the hours [then] so we could provide for our family later,\u201d he said of his intentions to work so much when they first got married.<\/p>\n

Amanda explained that was her whole point, arguing, \u201cI was being put on the backburner.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt did take a toll on our romantic and intimate relationship because your priority was work,\u201d she alleged. \u201cAnd your solution was for me to read a book on how to date an entrepreneur and I wanted you to take me on a date.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle admitted that he did want Amanda to read a book about that topic, thinking it would help her understand his intense work ethic while building Loverboy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re literally saying exactly what I\u2019m saying,\u201d Amanda pointed out. \u201cYou worked really hard for our future but it did have an effect on our marriage and our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

(West, 31, previously dated Amanda\u2019s BFF Ciara Miller<\/strong><\/a> in 2023 and the pair were seen getting cozy again<\/a> in summer and fall of 2025.)<\/p>\n

Amanda and West initially denied their connection, but confirmed their romantic relationship<\/a> in late March, sending shockwaves through the Bravoverse. At the time of the In the City<\/em> reunion taping in June, Amanda and West were still dating despite the backlash they received for their hookup.<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> confirmed last month that neither Amanda nor West are returning for season 11<\/a> of Summer House<\/em>, but Kyle is coming back to the Hamptons.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday\u2019s reunion, Amanda and Kyle gave an update on their divorce, confirming it is still ongoing.<\/p>\n
