Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> is ready to go back to December<\/a> with ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 by having him star in her \u201cI Can See You\u201d music video.<\/p>\n The Grammy-winning songstress, 33, debuted the music video<\/a> during her Friday, July 7,\u00a0Eras Tour<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>stop in Kansas City several hours before it dropped on YouTube<\/a>. In the footage, Swift \u2014 dressed in her\u00a0Speak Now<\/i>\u00a0era<\/a>, complete with the \u201cLong Live\u201d lyrics written on her arm \u2014 is locked in a bank vault, desperate to escape. Lautner, 31, Joey King<\/strong><\/a> and Presley Cash<\/strong>, for their parts, are tasked with breaking her out.<\/p>\n \u201cI wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it\u2019s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music<\/a>,\u201d Swift wrote via Instagram<\/a> later on Friday evening. \u201cI had my heart set on\u00a0@joeyking,\u00a0@taylorlautner\u00a0and\u00a0@helloimpresleycash\u00a0starring in it. Joey and Presley had been in the video for \u2018Mean\u2019 when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!! Taytay is INCREDIBLE in this (didn\u2019t have a stunt double!) and shout out to\u00a0[his wife, Taylor Dome<\/strong><\/a>]\u00a0for being so awesome to hang with on set. The\u00a0Twilight\u00a0<\/i><\/a>star, who dated Swift between August and December 2009<\/a>, did a backflip down the catwalk after the \u201cDear John\u201d songstress called his name.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was a very positive force in my life when I was making the\u00a0Speak Now<\/i>\u00a0album and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video,\u201d Swift \u2014 who referred to Lautner as \u201cTayTay\u201d<\/a> in her introduction \u2014 gushed during the concert, per social media footage<\/a>. \u201cHe and his wife have become some of my closest friends and it\u2019s very convenient because we all share the same first name.\u201d<\/p>\n Lautner \u2014 who married Dome, 26, in November 2022<\/a> \u2014 beamed over Swift\u2019s heartfelt tribute, noting he respects her \u201cso much.\u201d He added: \u201cNot just for the singer you are, the songwriter, the performer, but truly for the human you are. You are gracious, humble, kind and I\u2019m honored to know you.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift and Lautner were first linked after playing teenage lovers in 2010\u2019s\u00a0Valentine\u2019s Day<\/i><\/a>. Amid their early romance, the Michigan native was front-and-center when Swift won a Video Music Award in 2009 before her moment was overshadowed<\/a> by Kanye West<\/strong><\/a> proclaiming that Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> <\/a>should have won the trophy instead.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah [we had just gone public] and I presented the award to her, so I gave her the award [and] I took five steps back and was standing five feet behind her,\u201d Lautner recalled during a February episode<\/a> of his \u201cThe Squeeze\u201d podcast. \u201cIn the middle of giving her thank-you speech, Kanye jumps up onto the stage. Her track \u201cInnocent,\u201d which is featured on the rerecorded album<\/a>, was penned about the moment and the rapper\u2019s apology.<\/p>\n Swift\u2019s Friday show coincided with the release of her rerecorded\u00a0Speak Now\u00a0<\/i>album<\/a>, which is the sixth LP that she now owns. To celebrate, Kansas City Swifties were treated to several surprises, including brand-new, purple (to match the era) outfits and surprise songs<\/a> off the album. Swift sang \u201cWhen Emma Falls in Love (From the Vault)\u201d<\/a> and \u201cNever Grow Up\u201d during the acoustic sets, shortly after adding \u201cLong Live\u201d to the\u00a0Speak Now\u00a0<\/i>section.
