Ed Sheeran<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about writing the new song “Animal<\/strong><\/em>“<\/a>! <\/p>\n

The 35-year-old musician, who has written or co-written many hits for other artists, co-wrote the latest single from KATSEYE<\/strong><\/a>, which was just released last week. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday (July 28), Ed <\/strong>shared a new video of the writing process and explained how it came to be for him to write a song for the girl group. <\/p>\n

“I heard\u00a0@katseyeworld\u2019s song Gnarly last year when I was in Mexico and loved it,” Ed<\/strong> wrote in the caption. “Said I was a fan and reached out to them to see if I could write them a song. We\u2019ve created Animal together, go check it out gang and hope you all love it” <\/p>\n

The video he shared features him co-writing the song with Snow Patrol<\/strong>‘s Johnny McDaid<\/strong> and Blake Slatkin<\/strong>, who produced the track with Omer Fedi<\/strong>, and singing the demo. There’s also footage of the girls of KATSEYE <\/strong>in the studio laying down their vocals. <\/p>\n
