Glee could be coming back to our screens – in a \u201cnew incarnation\u201d. <\/p>\n

The beloved TV show about a high school glee club turned stars including Lea Michele<\/a> into household names, and ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015, collecting six Emmy Awards along the way. <\/p>\n

Now creator Ryan Murphy<\/a> has teased a potential reboot of the programme, admitting that the interest in the show from the younger generation has made him think twice about revisiting William McKinley High. <\/p>\n

He told People: \u201cThat show is interesting because it\u2019s come back around. So many young people now watch it. And I\u2019m like, \u2018Maybe we should revisit that show\u2019.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cMy nostalgia and love for that show is enough that I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, maybe people would like to see a new incarnation of that in some capacity.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\n\u201cSo yeah, I love that show and I loved what it became and what it meant to so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nRyan also said that the cast and crew of the show were always really close – and called it \u201cthe best time in my life and the worst time in my life\u201d. <\/p>\n

\nHe recalled: \u201cThere was a lot of infighting. There was a lot of people sleeping together and breaking up. It was good training for being a parent, I\u2019ll tell you that much. But I also made a mistake: We all got too personal.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWe loved it so much that we would all go out to dinner and we\u2019d hang out and we were always together, so there was no delineation between who was the boss and who was the employee. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cAnd we were all so close that finally when something would happen, it would be so personal to me that I would literally hit the roof.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nIt\u2019s not the first time the idea of a Glee reboot has been floated by those in charge. <\/p>\n

\nCo-creator Brad Falchuk told The Hollywood Reporter back in 2024: \u201cIs there a way to tell that story in a more modern way?<\/p>\n

\n\u201cSo much of what\u00a0Glee\u00a0was about was really this transition from an old way of looking at representation to a new way. I\u2019d never say no, but I wonder what the point would be \u2014 except it\u2019d be a moneymaker.\u201d<\/p>\n
