Oscar De La Hoya<\/strong><\/a> is singing his praises for Travis Barker<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Ahead of the release of his HBO documentary The Golden Boy<\/em>, the 50-year-old former pro boxer admitted that he\u2019s \u201cgrateful\u201d for the 47-year-old blink-182<\/strong><\/a> drummer for being a \u201cfather figure\u201d to his daughter Atiana<\/strong><\/a> when he couldn\u2019t be.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cLook, I didn\u2019t raise my kids, you know? Their moms did. And I have to give credit where credit is due,\u201d Oscar<\/strong> shared with Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n Oscar<\/strong> and Shanna Moakler<\/strong><\/a> welcomed Atiana<\/strong>, now 24, in 1999, a year before they split. Shanna<\/strong>, 48, married Travis<\/strong> in 2004 when Atiana<\/strong> was 5.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m grateful that Barker was there, you know, as a father figure for my daughter,\u201d Oscar <\/strong>continued. \u201cI have to be grateful that Shanna was a mother to Atiana, and just know my place, basically, you know? My place \u2014 I\u2019m obviously a father, and I\u2019m proud of it.\u201d <\/p>\n He added, \u201cBut, again, I\u2019m grateful for what they\u2019ve done, especially with Barker. He\u2019s obviously stepped up to the plate.\u201d <\/p>\n Oscar<\/strong> also said that he and Travis<\/strong> are in touch with each other.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s such a nice guy. I have the utmost respect for him,\u201d Oscar<\/strong> said. \u201cHe\u2019s a good guy. I\u2019ve talked to him several times. And we communicate about Atiana. I\u2019m just grateful for what he\u2019s done.\u201d <\/p>\n Along with Atiana<\/strong>, Travis<\/strong> shares son Landon<\/strong><\/a>, 19, and daughter Alabama<\/strong><\/a>, 17, with Shanna<\/strong>. Travis<\/strong> and wife Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> recently announced that they are expecting their first child, a son, together and they\u2019re teasing his name already<\/a>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
