Alix Earle reveals why she suffered a terrifying panic attack and was left in tears<\/p>\n
\nThe 25-year-old social media personality shot to fame with her Get Ready With Me videos on TikTok, but she has been “struggling a bit” lately due to nasty social media comments.<\/p>\n
\nAlix took to TikTok after a short break to tell fans why she hasn’t posted as much recently, saying: “I know I haven\u2019t posted anything on here in the past few days, or at least speaking like I normally do. <\/p>\n
\n“Honestly, I just sort of took some time for myself and tried to not be online as much because I was getting into not the best place.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\n“I think I’ve always been fine with reading commentary about myself. <\/p>\n
\n“That\u2019s what you subject yourself to when you post yourself online. You have to be OK with that. <\/p>\n
\n“But recently, I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s felt more negative. Maybe I’m just reading more. <\/p>\n
\n“But obviously it\u2019s gonna get to you or make you overthink when you\u2019re constantly reading about what you\u2019re doing, the way you look, who you\u2019re hanging out with, what you\u2019re saying.<\/p>\n
\n“There was a point this week where I just broke down in tears. <\/p>\n
\n“I was on the plane and I had a panic attack. A real panic attack. My heart was racing, I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I was crying.”<\/p>\n
\nAlix tried to pre-empt some negative comments, by insisting to her TikTok followers that she doesn’t want to come across as though she is “complaining”. <\/p>\n
\nShe added: “Before people come at me and say I’m complaining, I’m not complaining. I’m just trying to let you guys in. <\/p>\n
\n“I think I\u2019ve just been struggling a bit. It\u2019s my happy place to come on here and talk and share things.<\/p>\n
\n“But it seems every time I share something it’s a problem … or it just turns into something bigger. <\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019m just trying to share my human experiences.<\/p>\n
\n“I overthink everything about myself.”<\/p>\n
\nIn April, Alix said she had “gotten used to” used to people talking about her online. <\/p>\n
\nShe told People magazine: “There’s always a bunch going on on the internet, and I don’t know if something is wrong with me or not, but I love sharing everything on there. <\/p>\n
\n“So I’ve gotten used to people either talking about me or sharing fake (information), and I think that’s just part of the job. It doesn’t really bother me.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s definitely not for everyone. You have to have pretty thick skin for it.”<\/p>\n
