Another Hallmark actress has revealed that she was not asked back for the new season of When Calls the Heart<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Samantha Ferris<\/strong><\/a> has revealed that she will not be returning for season 14<\/a>. She has portrayed Maisie Hickam across 11 episodes in seasons 11 and 13.<\/p>\n

Last week, she posted the news on Instagram <\/a>to let fans know they would not be seeing more of her in season 14.<\/p>\n

She wrote, “Hey Gang! Sad news (for me, anyway). I won\u2019t be back as the fabulous Maisie Hickam on When Calls the Heart this coming season. I don\u2019t really have a reason as sometimes they just don\u2019t tell you, but I LOVED my time on the show and grateful for the two seasons I had. Such a fabulous group of people. Keep on rollin, Hearties! Be well.”<\/p>\n

This comes just after news broke that Melissa Gilbert<\/strong> will also not be returning for season 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany people have asked if I will be returning to When Calls the Heart<\/em> this coming season,\u201d Melissa<\/strong> wrote. <\/a>\u201cThe answer to that is no.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she had been told the decision came down to the show\u2019s budget. Melissa<\/strong> made clear that she remains grateful for the role, describing her experience on the series as \u201clovely\u201d and thanking the cast, crew, and the show\u2019s devoted \u201cHearties.\u201d<\/p>\n
