Emma Roberts<\/strong><\/a>‘ famous father Eric Roberts<\/strong><\/a> confirmed he did not attend her wedding and released a statement about her nuptials.<\/p>\n

If you did not see the news<\/a>, the 35-year-old American Horror Story <\/em>actress and her new husband, Cody John<\/strong><\/a>, held their wedding over the weekend on Saturday (July 25) in Idaho. Emma<\/strong>‘s mom is actress Kelly Cunningham<\/strong>, and her aunt, Julia Roberts<\/strong><\/a>, was in attendance at the event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here’s what Eric Roberts said about Emma Roberts’ wedding<\/h3>\n

\u201cI love my daughter, always have, always will\u2026 It is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants,” he told Page Six<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eric <\/strong>previously talked about his family during an interview <\/a>on the Inside of You<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

When asked to name the toughest period of his life, Eric <\/strong>said, \u201cProbably the loss of relationship with my daughter. There\u2019s not a pain, there\u2019s a sadness for the, most likely, misunderstandings [that] I\u2019ll have forever. Because we\u2019re human.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric <\/strong>said he was able to look back at his regrets when he became a grandfather.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started accepting that about myself with the birth of my grandchildren,\u201d he said. \u201cEspecially the five-year-old. She was first, and she was a girl, so very vulnerable to me, and took a liking to me at two, two-and-a-half, in a very strong way, and named my wife \u2018Famma,\u2019 and we\u2019re all very close. So that, and she also looks like Emma<\/strong>. Same coloring. And so it reminds me of what I didn\u2019t have.\u201d<\/p>\n
