Sonja Morgan<\/strong><\/a> won\u2019t be on the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City<\/em><\/a>, but she\u2019s ready to offer some tips for the show\u2019s incoming cast members.<\/p>\n \u201cMy advice to them is just keep it real and show your real friendships,\u201d the reality star, 59, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> while promoting Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake<\/em>. \u201cThe audience will know if you\u2019re not being yourself \u2014 it doesn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n Sonja went on to say that she \u201cloved\u201d how close she and her RHONY<\/em> costars were when the cameras weren\u2019t rolling. \u201cWe really were friends, and there\u2019s a trust level there,\u201d she explained. \u201cIf you don\u2019t have a trust level, it\u2019s very hard if you don\u2019t know people. I think they all are friends, so they should do OK.\u201d<\/p>\n The upcoming 14th season of RHONY<\/em><\/a> \u2014 premiering on Bravo Sunday, July 16 \u2014 stars an entirely new cast of Housewives<\/a>: Sai De Silva<\/strong>, Ubah Hassan<\/strong>, Erin Lichy<\/strong>, Jenna Lyons<\/strong>, Jessel Taank<\/strong> and Brynn Whitfield<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Sonja and some of the previous RHONY<\/em> cast, meanwhile, will appear in season 5 of Ultimate Girls Trip<\/em><\/a>. In addition to Sonja and her Crappie Lake<\/em> costar, Luann de Lesseps<\/strong><\/a>, the New York season of UGT<\/em> stars Ramona Singer<\/strong><\/a>, Dorinda Medley<\/strong><\/a>, Kelly Killoren Bensimon<\/strong><\/a> and Kristen Taekman<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s like Scary Island Part 2,\u201d Luann, 58, quipped to Us<\/em>, referring to the group\u2019s infamous trip to St. John in season 3 of RHONY<\/em> that gave us \u201cgo to sleep\u201d and \u201cturtle time,\u201d among other things. This time, however, the squad is headed to St. Bart\u2019s.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a great trip,\u201d Luann recalled. \u201cWhen you have that many women together, there\u2019s always gonna be something. And I love it because the fourth wall comes down a lot. We\u2019re talking about our perspective of what happened years ago. I love that for the fans, because they want to know what we thought about that years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n UGT<\/em> season 5 doesn\u2019t yet have a release date, but in the meantime, RHONY<\/em> fans have Crappie Lake<\/em> to tide them over. The new series follows Luann and Sonja as they head to Benton, Illinois, to spruce up a town with a population of just 7,000 people.<\/p>\n \u201c[The townspeople] think we\u2019re all fancy. We\u2019re coming from New York and we don\u2019t know how to get our hands dirty,\u201d Luann told Us<\/em>. \u201cWell, let me tell you, we changed their minds about who we are. Because we do come from small towns and we know how to get in and \u2026 get it done.\u201d<\/p>\n Sonja, for her part, said one of the high points was getting to do some gardening, which she already loved doing. \u201cMy favorite thing was getting the playground together, and you see Luann go up in the bucket to start whacking some of the lines,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cAnd I get into a tractor and start pushing brush aside. Like Lu said, we\u2019re small town girls. I\u2019m used to driving a tractor or a lawnmower or shoveling s\u2013t.
