Zane Lowe<\/a>, Dominic said: “I was a drug addict, and coming onto a show, you know, (that\u2019s) mainly about drugs is very difficult.<\/p>\n“Sam [Levinson], the director and writer, got me a sober coach, somebody to be there all the time. It did not work.<\/p>\n
“Oh my god. Yeah, dude. I was so f***** up during a lot of that show. It was really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n“I was reprimanded for it. I almost, you know, got kicked off the show\u2026 They were like, \u2018Bro, you cannot be doing this.'”<\/p>\n
\nFike added that he is actually high in some of the scenes that made it into the show because there were no other options.<\/p>\n
\nDominic also confirmed his split from co-star Hunter Schafer, 24, who he was first linked to in January 2022.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI\u2019m just done being in relationships right now.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe singer added he wanted time alone to get out of the \u201cloop\u201d of the feeling of needing someone. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThat has actually bled into my romantic relationships, that kind of dynamic. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd it is often the cause of the end of my relationship.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nBut Dominic stressed he had fun with Hunter \u2013 who is a trans woman \u2013 adding: \u201cI could make music around her, which was crazy. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was looking through songs the other day and found one that I made with her. I was like, \u2018Man, that was so cool.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut the fact of me saying that \u2013 of being uncomfortable being alone \u2013 that\u2019s a bad thing. So, I decided to just be alone for a while.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nWhen asked if he thinks there will be tension on the third set of HBO\u2019s \u2018Euphoria\u2019 when he and Hunter return for shooting to reprise their roles as Elliot and Jules, he said: \u201cI think it\u2019ll be fine. We\u2019re all adults kind of. I\u2019m trying.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
