Rita Ora is thinking about having children with Taika Waititi<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old singer took steps to preserve her fertility when she was 24 and 27 and she’s thankful she did so because she and her 50-year-old husband – who already has <\/p>\n
Te Kainga o te Hinekahu, 14, and Matewa Kiritapu, 10, with ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley – are now thinking about having children.<\/p>\n
Rita told The Times magazine: \u201cHe says, \u2018Good job for planning ahead, girl.’ “<\/p>\n

The Hot Right Now hitmaker initially feared it would be “impossible” to have a child with Taika because they are always so busy, but she has taken inspiration from former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who had her daughter Neve in 2018.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI have a lovely time with my stepdaughters and I\u2019d love to add to our family but\u2026 when? I used to think with both of our careers it would be impossible, but I\u2019ve become friendly with Jacinda Ardern and she is my inspiration. <\/p>\n
\n“Jacinda took her baby everywhere. She even breastfed her at the United Nations, which to me is proof of what a woman who loves her job can achieve.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRita was first introduced to the Jojo Rabbit filmmaker at a barbecue in 2018 but didn’t start dating until 2021, and she admitted it was a “risk” to take their friendship further.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWe were just good friends for three years after [we first met]. But we had so much to talk about because we have so much common ground: both our mothers have had breast cancer; both of us come from immigrant families with crazy stories who had to learn how to hustle…<\/p>\n
\n\u201cKissing your best friend is a big moment. Because when you fall in love with your best friend, you are risking quite a lot. What if it doesn\u2019t work out? What if you lose an incredible friendship? You\u2019ve seen When Harry Met Sally, right? Well, it was like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe I Will Never Let You Down hitmaker took a bigger risk in 2022, when she filled a hotel room with balloons, ordered a cake, and got down on one knee to propose when Taika entered the room.<\/p>\n
\nShe laughed: \u201cWas I ready to hear, \u2018No\u2019? Obviously, that\u2019s not the outcome I was looking for, but in life and in love, you sometimes have to take a risk for what you really want.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMy motto is: if you have a plan B, then you\u2019re not really focusing on plan A.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe pair married two months later, with Rita’s sister Elena, Taika’s children and his best friend in attendance, and she admitted it wasn’t a day she had always expected to have.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter who you are, everyone at some point thinks, \u2018Will I ever find the right person for me?\u2019 I spent a long time thinking I\u2019d never find someone to marry. My question was: who\u2019s going to keep up with my pace? Well, I found him.\u201d<\/p>\n
