There’s a new show in the Big Bang Theory<\/strong><\/a><\/em> universe!<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, starring Kevin Sussman<\/strong>, premiered on HBO Max.<\/p>\n

The show will follow comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, who is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Along the way, he and some of his buddies meet alternate-universe versions of characters we\u2019ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory<\/em>. As the title implies, things don\u2019t go well.<\/p>\n

While speaking with Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>, co-creator Chuck Lorre<\/strong><\/a> made it very clear that the new series will not have a crossover with spinoff prequel series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201c[There will be] no East Texas in this show,\u201d Chuck<\/strong> said. \u201cNo, I don\u2019t think so. Let them exist in their own worlds.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to note that he doesn’t see how the two shows could interact.<\/p>\n

\u201cLots of stuff gets pitched before we decide what to do,\u201d Chuck<\/strong> added. \u201cSo you never know.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, fellow co-creator Bill Prady<\/strong> suggested a way to make a crossover happen, teasing, \u201cWe do some time travel.”<\/p>\n
