Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a> is hitting back at the White House<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the official TikTok<\/a> account for the White House shared a video featuring footage of the military strikes in Iran set to the 41-year-old singer’s song “Fireworks.”<\/p>\n

“Iran has been warned,” the White House wrote along with the video.<\/p>\n

Then on Saturday (July 25), Katy<\/strong> took to X<\/a> where she slammed the Trump<\/strong> administration for using her song in the video.<\/p>\n

“I am deeply appalled and angry to see \u201cFirework\u201d used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes,” Katy wrote. “I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it. <\/p>\n

“I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments,” she continued. “To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for.”<\/p>\n

“My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare,” Katy<\/strong> concluded.<\/p>\n

Katy<\/strong>‘s comments come after Ariana Grande<\/strong><\/a> also slammed the White House<\/a> for using her music in a video supporting ICE agents.<\/p>\n
