Kacey Musgraves<\/strong><\/a> has canceled some of the shows on her upcoming Middle of Nowhere Tour<\/em><\/strong>, including the show that was scheduled to serve as opening night. <\/p>\n

The eight-time Grammy-winning country singer was scheduled to begin the upcoming tour on August 20 in Chicago, but that performance has been canceled along with shows in two other major cities. <\/p>\n

Kacey<\/strong> has not yet spoken out about the cancellations, but fans have received email notifications from Ticketmaster and the dates now say “CANCELED” on the ticketing website. <\/p>\n

Which dates has Kacey Musgraves canceled for her tour?<\/h3>\n

The three shows that are canceled are:<\/p>\n

August 20 – Chicago, IL – United Center<\/p>\n

August 29 – Boston, MA – TD Garden<\/p>\n

September 2 – Brooklyn, NY – Barclays Center<\/p>\n

All three shows were added to the tour schedule after the initial announcement, seemingly to meet demand from fans buying tickets. Kacey<\/strong> is performing other shows in each of those cities, so fans affected will likely need to get tickets to the other performances now. <\/p>\n

While a reason has not been given for the cancellations, fans are speculating that the added shows weren’t able to sell enough tickets for Kacey<\/strong> to move forward with the concerts. It’s unclear if any other dates will be affected as well. <\/p>\n

What did Ticketmaster say about the cancellations?<\/h3>\n

The following message is on the ticket listings for these canceled shows: <\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.<\/p>\n

You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment<\/a> used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.<\/p>\n

Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n
