Devout Big Brother<\/em><\/a> superfan and Unlocked<\/em> cohost Jerry O\u2019Connell<\/strong><\/a> has a lot of opinions about Rome Seymour<\/strong> and Lyric Medeiros<\/strong>\u2019 romance following the pickleball coach\u2019s recent eviction.<\/p>\n \u201cThese two were together for hours, and they were already dropping love bombs,\u201d O\u2019Connell, 52, exclusively tells Us<\/em> ahead of the new episode of Big Brother: Unlocked<\/em> on Friday, July 24. \u201cThis guy was dropping an L-bomb. I think 12 hours into their relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to Rome and Lyric quickly developing strong feelings for each other, O\u2019Connell was enthralled by the couple\u2019s intimate conversations \u2014 and cuddles \u2014 that took place on the Have-Not bed, which is a circular wooden plank that rotates. (Each week multiple Big Brother<\/em> houseguests become have-nots where they must endure tougher living arrangements including eating slop, taking cold showers and sleeping in a room that lacks traditional beds.)<\/p>\n \u201cHe said on a wooden rotating bed, \u2018I want to make babies with you.\u2019 \u2026 I mean, that is the power of the Big Brother<\/em> house,\u201d O\u2019Connell quips. \u201cThat is why Big Brother<\/em> is the best unscripted show on TV \u2026 other shows aren\u2019t saying, \u2018I want to make babies with you\u2019 on a wooden rotating bed.\u201d<\/p>\n Rome was ultimately evicted by his fellow houseguests \u2014 which included his own girlfriend \u2014 on Thursday, July 23. While O\u2019Connell can\u2019t fathom how Rome and Lyric got so close in two weeks, the TV host confesses that he was \u201cvery bummed\u201d to see Rome leave.<\/p>\n \u201cI really thought Rome, who for your readers if they don\u2019t know, was sort of this alpha guy who was sort of gathering a few troops,\u201d he says of Rome\u2019s gameplay. \u201cHe was a newbie. He wasn\u2019t one of the icons from Survivor<\/em>. I really felt he was the only one who could really go for the king and queen, being Dee<\/strong> [Valladares<\/strong>] and [Rick<\/strong>] Devens<\/strong> from Survivor<\/em>. He just had a showman. I think that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor adds that being part of the season\u2019s first showmance<\/a> also didn\u2019t help lower Rome\u2019s threat level.<\/p>\n While O\u2019Connell is always tuned in to Big Brother<\/em> every summer, this season is extra special as he was named a cohost to the series\u2019 companion show, Unlocked<\/em>.
