Dwayne Johnson ‘moved’ by Japanese welcome<\/p>\n
The Jumanji actor went to the country to promote his new movie Moana – the live-action version of the animated Disney movie he starred in as Maui. <\/p>\n
He\u2019s reprised the role for the new film, and has been touring the world in support of the movie, updating fans on his activities via his social media pages. <\/p>\n
Sharing snaps of himself meeting Japanese fans on Instagram, Dwayne, aka The Rock, wrote: \u201cDear Japan – I was deeply moved by your beautiful and emotional embrace of me.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll take every word you said and all the tears of joy you cried, as this was a very profound experience that I\u2019ll never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe called himself a \u201cgrateful man\u201d, as he concluded by saying: \u201cMy soul was touched. Until we meet again\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn another Instagram post, Dwayne shared a video of himself meeting a tearful fan called Kaho, who told him: \u201cYou are my hero\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nShe struggled to control her sobs as she came to terms with meeting her hero, with Dwayne taking a selfie of them together and giving Kaho a warm hug. <\/p>\n
\nPoking fun at his Jumanji co-star Kevin Hart, he wrote: \u201cFunny how\u00a0@kevinhart4real\u00a0says the exact same thing to me every time he sees me, about me being his hero. Cries the exact same way too.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe then thanked Kaho for her kindness, adding: \u201cLove you back Japan, til we meet again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKaho was among those commenting on the Instagram video, writing: \u201cOMG IT\u2019S MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! This is the greatest gift of my lifetime!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU MY HERO THE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAt the Moana premiere in Tokyo, Dwayne admitted he was somewhat nervous about walking down the blue carpeted stairs with his \u201csize 15 feet\u201d, after indulging in some of his Teremana tequila. <\/p>\n
\nDwayne joked: \u201cI really loved being introduced at my premiere and NOT being told I have to walk down the \u2018steepest stairway to heaven\u2019 as the moment is captured LIVE across Japan and around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cJust walk down slowly\u2026 and sideways\u2026 smile, wave, stay cool, repeat.\u201d<\/p>\n
