The 77-year-old theatre producer widow of late TV producer Aaron married Howard Frederick Leveson in 1963 when she was aged only 17 before they split a year later, but she has only now opened up about her former spouse\u2019s sexuality. <\/p>\n
She told SiriusXM\u2019s \u2018Jeff Lewis Live\u2019: \u201cIt sort of didn\u2019t work out\u2026 obviously\u2026 it turned out that he was a latent gay.\u201d<\/p>\n
Host Jeff, told her \u201cnow we just say \u2018gay\u2019\u201d and Candy went on to say she didn\u2019t really \u201cknow\u201d Howard, who died in 2022. <\/p>\n
She added about how the first clue he was gay was how infrequently they had sex: \u201cMaybe in the two-and-half years (of the relationship) we had sexual relations six times.\u2019<\/p>\n
\nCandy said the lack of intimacy hit her self-esteem \u201cbig time\u201d, and she went on marry Aaron, with whom she had children Tori, 50, and 44-year-old Randy. <\/p>\n
\nAaron died in 2006 from stroke complications aged 83, and Candy has said Tori\u2019s fallout with the family \u2013 sparked by her only getting $800,000 of Aaron\u2019s $500 million fortune \u2013 \u201ckilled\u201d the \u2018Beverly Hills, 90210\u2019 producer. <\/p>\n
\nShe previously told 94.7 WMAS-FM\u2019s Kellogg Krew: \u201cThat\u2019s what killed my husband, actually. He just didn\u2019t want to live after that. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe (had) just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn\u2019t do anything for her.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nCandy and actress Tori made up last year and marked their reunion by sharing a photo of them at dinner with Randy. <\/p>\n
\nTori captioned the snap online: \u201cHold those near and dear to you as close as you can. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI love you with all my heart Mommy.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nTori told Entertainment Tonight the dinner came after she realised \u201clife is too short\u201d for feuds. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI feel like life is too short and we forget that. I think because life keeps going and so you say to yourself, \u2018I gotta make plans with this person, I gotta make an effort,\u2019 and then you don\u2019t because your life keeps going. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s important now to really take that time, and I think I\u2019m finally starting to get that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
