Jesse Solomon<\/strong><\/a> is recalling how his past testicular cancer diagnosis changed the way he looked at the world.<\/p>\n

Speaking to People<\/em> in an interview<\/a> published on Thursday, July 23, the Summer House<\/em> star, 33, said his health scare majorly shifted his perspective.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was never fulfilled doing finance,\u201d Jesse explained of his career path before joining Summer House<\/em> and pursuing his music ambitions. \u201cGetting diagnosed with cancer the first time was a scary thing and then when it comes back, it was really a lesson of, \u2018You never know what\u2019s gonna happen tomorrow so you might as well live life to the fullest today.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse added that he\u2019s also hoping for a more fulfilling type of relationship in this stage of his life \u2014 which he sings about in his latest single, \u201cWildfire.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThings got \u201csuper real\u201d for Jesse Solomon as he broke down during the latest Summer House episode about a possible cancer scare. During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Jesse, 28, said watching back his emotional moment with costar and friend West Wilson was \u201cnot as bad as I thought\u201d it would be. \u201cI was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI try not to write about love and relationship stuff too much because not that it\u2019s overdone\u2026 But this one just came to me, and it was kinda like, if it\u2019s not that wildfire love, I don\u2019t want it,\u201d he told People<\/em>. \u201cI\u2018ve dated people, and I just haven\u2019t felt that truly passionate\u2026 I don\u2019t want anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse was diagnosed with testicular cancer<\/a> in August 2017 and again in July 2018. The reality TV star underwent chemotherapy and has been in remission for the past seven years.<\/p>\n

In March 2024, Jesse shared a candid insight<\/a> into what it was like hearing the bad news about his health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt, like, a twinge of pain in my testicle. I didn\u2019t really think anything of it,\u201d Jesse told Today <\/em>at the time.<\/em> \u201cThe doctor said, \u2018You know it\u2019s probably nothing but go get an ultrasound.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

At first, Jesse assumed that he had \u201cchlamydia or something,\u201d but the ultrasound, which he received in 2017, revealed that he had testicular cancer.<\/p>\n

The doctor was like, \u2018Hey, so it looks like you have cancer. We won\u2019t know for sure until we remove the testicle but that\u2019s likely the next step,\u2019\u201d the Bravo star recounted. \u201cIt was a bit of a shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse described the \u201cpainful\u201d surgery to remove his testicle, comparing it to \u201cpiranhas jumping around in your stomach while getting kicked in the nuts by a small child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nearly a year after the surgery, Jesse\u2019s doctor found cancer in the lymphnodes in his stomach \u2014 meaning he had stage 2 testicular cancer. He underwent four rounds of chemotherapy from July to September 2018.<\/p>\n
