Hugh Jackman<\/strong><\/a> and Sutton Foster<\/strong><\/a> are enjoying a summer out of the spotlight. <\/p>\n

After the releases of Hugh<\/strong>‘s movies The Sheep Detectives <\/em>and The Death of Robin Hood<\/em> earlier this year, the Broadway couple is vacationing together in North Carolina to “get away” from their home in New York City. <\/p>\n

Hugh<\/strong> and Sutton<\/strong> met while starring in the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man<\/em>, though they didn’t start dating until years later. <\/p>\n

A source told People<\/a><\/em>, \u201cHugh<\/strong> and Sutton<\/strong> wanted to get away from the city.”<\/p>\n

\u201cHugh<\/strong> has told friends he believes Sutton<\/strong> is the one and he admires her spirit and talent,\u201d the source added, saying that Hugh<\/strong> \u201chas been writing, reading scripts and spending time with Sutton<\/strong> outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source said that Sutton<\/strong> “has a group of friends” in North Carolina and that they “have a fun social life” there. Sutton<\/strong>‘s nine-year-old daughter Emily<\/strong> has been spending time with them on the getaway. She shares her daughter with estranged husband Ted Griffin<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Hugh <\/strong>and Sutton<\/strong>\u2018s relationship became public in late 2024 after the pair starred together in Broadway\u2019s The Music Man<\/em>. The couple later made their red carpet debut<\/a> in October 2025.<\/p>\n

Back in May, Hugh <\/strong>and Sutton <\/strong>stepped out for another major milestone, making their Met Gala debut<\/a> together at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event marked Sutton<\/strong>\u2018s first appearance at the fashion\u2019s biggest night, while Hugh <\/strong>is a longtime Met Gala attendee, having attended multiple times over the past two decades.<\/p>\n
