On Wednesday, Prince George<\/a> will celebrate his 13th birthday with a party before he starts at Eton College<\/a> in September, with the royal also set to enjoy a few more weeks of summer fun.<\/p>\n Insiders tell Vanity Fair<\/em> that the teenage prince will mark the occasion with a \u201clow-key party\u201d and a homemade cake baked by Kate Middleton<\/a>. As for gifts? \u201cOne thing George won\u2019t be getting is an iPhone,\u201d says royals commentator Sarah Hewson. \u201cHis parents are very hot on phones, and they won\u2019t allow him on social media. They want to protect him from that for as long as they can.\u201d<\/p>\n Prince William<\/a>, Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte<\/a>, and Prince Louis<\/a> will be spending much of the rest of the summer at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk hideaway, as they prepare the teenage prince for the next chapter of his life: starting boarding school at Eton<\/a> in September. Sources close to the family say they want to make sure they have quality time together\u2014and will be keeping things low-key and close-knit \u2014before George begins attending Eton.<\/p>\n According to one family friend, the Waleses are hoping to give George \u201ca summer to remember.\u201d \u201cHe starts boarding school in September and that\u2019s a big step. He will be away from home for the first time, and William and Catherine want to spend as much quality time together as they can this summer,\u201d the source says.<\/p>\n George will be following in his father\u2019s footsteps when he enrolls at Eton in September<\/a>. His uncle Prince Harry<\/a> also attended the prestigious school.<\/p>\n Before George begins classes, the family will enjoy Norfolk\u2019s wild beaches, its rugged coastline, and taking forest walks.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is very special to the family because it\u2019s a place where they can escape daily life and enjoy their freedom.
