The Ultimatum<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Jessica Grace Booker<\/strong> shut down assumptions that her former fianc\u00e9, Edris Khalieque<\/strong>, proposed for the wrong reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, one of the things that would have helped would be to have shown Edris in a better light,\u201d Jessica Grace exclusively told Us<\/em> on Tuesday, July 21, about how her relationship with Edris came off throughout season 4.<\/p>\n

Jessica Grace specifically addressed how Edris proposed moments before they participated in the dating experiment, saying, \u201cI think that people think that the proposal itself was kind of just like a shut up ring \u2014 or done out of jealousy. Like, \u2018Why would she choose him? He\u2019s such a stoner.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star shut down<\/a> certain assumptions about the state of the pair\u2019s relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI run a strict program, I\u2019m sober myself, I\u2019m not going to get married to someone who smokes weed in our house,\u201d Jessica Grace noted. \u201cI just wish there was a truer representation of him \u2014 the man that I know and I love and that I wanted to get married to.\u201d<\/p>\n

After seeing what made the final cut<\/a> of the show, Jessica Grace regretted how she \u201cdragged\u201d Edris into the experience. She also offered an update on where the pair stand now after leaving season 4 early amid their engagement.<\/p>\n

\u201cEdris and I came home and we really wanted to stay involved and connected to the other couples while working on our own issues,\u201d she recalled. \u201cWe didn\u2019t see each other for dating week, so we didn\u2019t really get to address anything. We knew we just had work to do, and so, we went through couples counseling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica Grace and Edris were ultimately not able to make it work.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just came to a point where we realized we were doing each other more harm than good because of the pain that was there. Not being able to communicate the pain in each other\u2019s language, it just got to where we were just hurting each other,\u201d she told Us. \u201cAs much as I think either one of us wanted to work, we did break up. That\u2019s been really hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
