Instead, he\u2019s decided to double down by promoting his own adaptation of Homer\u2019s epic poem, one built entirely with his Grok AI tool.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bVHzUmY9WN\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/bVHzUmY9WN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/2079758604656316619?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">July 22, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cDialogue scene from Homer\u2019s Odyssey built on Grok Imagine,\u201d reads a tweet reposted by Musk on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer,\u201d Elon added.<\/p>\n<p>Now, aside from the fact that the footage provided looks like crap and features dialogue that is not even close to being an accurate translation of Homer,<em> The Odyssey <\/em>is pure fiction that\u2019s populated by gods and monsters, and therefore, no \u201chistorically accurate\u201d version has ever existed.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, numerous users on Elon\u2019s X platform were quick to point this out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow can you make a \u2018historically accurate\u2019 version about a f\u2013king fake story?\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/zerowontmiss\/status\/2079935350047392205\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote one commenter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Historically accurate.\u2019 There is a cyclops,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/thescottbarber\/status\/2079765941316137039\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another added<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, factual accuracy might still be of concern to an author of historical fiction, but it didn\u2019t seem to matter much to Homer (who was writing about 500 years after the events described in <em>The Odyssey<\/em>). So why should it matter so much to modern interpreters of the poem?<\/p>\n<p>The fact is, it shouldn\u2019t, and Elon wouldn\u2019t care either, were it not for the fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/02\/vivian-wilson-elon-musks-daughter-says-she-found-out-about-his-13th-kid-on-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">his trans daughter wants nothing to do with him<\/a>, and therefore he\u2019s all butthurt that a trans actor was cast in a movie.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the case, the real question is not whether the Grok-yssey will be accurate, but whether it will be any good.
