Bachelor Nation alum Madison \u201cMadi\u201d Prewett <\/b><\/a>opened up about feeling <\/b>a certain amount of shame over her premarital \u201csexual sin.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI felt so much shame in my relationship. I felt so much shame in my identity,\u201d Prewett, 30, said during the Monday, July 20, episode of her \u201cStay True\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI felt so much shame in my purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett is a devout Christian, who was abstinent until marrying now-husband Grant Troutt <\/b><\/a>in 2022. The Bachelor<\/i> alum claimed on her podcast last year<\/span><\/a> that, despite her virginity pledge, she was \u201censlaved\u201d to porn and masturbation for several years growing up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t until I started listening to conviction of like, \u2018Oh, no, no, no. This is God speaking to me that he has so much more for me. He\u2019s not trying to rob me. He\u2019s not trying to rip me off. He actually wants me to be free,\u2019\u201d Prewett, who welcomed her first child in 2025, recalled on Monday of her faith. \u201cLike, this isn\u2019t bringing life. This isn\u2019t making me closer in my relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBachelor alum Madi Prewett recalled pushing \u201cso many boundaries physically\u201d before getting \u201cclarity\u201d in her purity journey. \u201cMy parents told me the importance of keeping your body for God and for your spouse and the importance of pursuing purity,\u201d Madi, 29, said during the Monday, June 23, episode of her \u201cStay True\u201d podcast. \u201cThat had [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Prewett continued, \u201cEvery time I fall into sexual sin with this person, I don\u2019t feel closer to them. I actually feel ashamed, I feel distant [and] I feel like I want to hide myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality TV personality said that those experiences made her feel distanced from God and \u201cconfused about [her] purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to remember, \u2018OK, that\u2019s not the voice of my God. My God says, I call you to a holy life because I want you to be free. I call you to a holy life because I care about you. I call you to a holy life because I want a relationship with you. Your body belongs to me, not that person,\u2019\u201d Prewett preached. \u201cYou have to come back to the why [and] I think you have to get to that place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett further pointed to a verse from Corinthians that \u201cchanged [her] life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt says, \u2018No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cThat is so powerful to me because it tells me that I will never be presented with a situation where I have to sin. Never.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prewett added, \u201cThere\u2019s never going to be a situation where on one side I have to choose sin and on the other side I have to choose sin. You will always be presented with an opportunity to choose holiness.\u201d<\/p>\n
