Jerry went on to defend his decision not to break up with Guliana face-to-face.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI broke up with her through an intercom because Giuliana Rancic came to my condominium and hit my intercom. I was not expecting Giuliana Rancic\u2026 [She] wanted entry into my condominium. Thank goodness, buzzer, gate, security. I paid a pretty hefty homeowner\u2019s fee for these things.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said, \u2018I did not know you were coming. You can\u2019t come up here. You can\u2019t come here unannounced.\u2019 Notice no one had a key, so the relationship was not like that, but that was why: I didn\u2019t like someone coming to my condominium without an invite or even a text or even a phone call\u2026 There was no warning. And I didn\u2019t want someone coming in, because I didn\u2019t want any confrontation.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut he suggested he hadn’t been quite as blunt and brutal as his former flame suggested in her tome.<\/p>\n
\nHost Kelly Ripa read from Giuliana’s 2016 book Going Off Script, in which she alleged the Stand By Me actor had said: \u201cNope. Sorry, home girl. Things change, but you take care, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJerry replied: \u201cI don\u2019t recall exact wording, so I can\u2019t deny that I said that. It doesn\u2019t sound like something I would say. I mean, if I were writing a memoir, it made for a good quote.<\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019m going to applaud Giuliana for using colourful dialogue and everything.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe Summer’s Last Resort actor – who married Rebecca Romijn, the mother of his 17-year-old twin daughters Charlie and Dolly, in 2007 – admitted he had crossed paths with Giuliana a number of times after their break-up because they went to the same gym, and he used to deliberately try and annoy her.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI would see Giuliana sometimes at Equinox, and I do this really funny thing. Everybody should do this with exes. It\u2019s really funny.”<\/p>\n
\nJerry would “walk right up” to his former flame “nose to nose” and pretend to flirt with her in an over-the-top voice.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt would annoy her so much. She would be like, ‘Get the f*** away.’ <\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe would be like, \u2018Go away. Stop it.\u2019 And I would be like \u2018Oh gosh I miss you. Do you have the same number?’\u201d<\/p>\n
