Logan Marshall-Green<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his role in The Odyssey<\/strong><\/a><\/em> and how he landed the job.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old actor plays Melanthius, the twin of Mia Goth<\/strong><\/a>‘s Melantho and a disloyal servant to Penelope and Odysseus. He helps arm the suitors in the fight against the King when he returns to Ithaca and has an epic fight with Tom Holland<\/strong><\/a>‘s Telemachus. <\/p>\n

Logan<\/strong> auditioned for the movie through a self-tape and earned a callback with Christopher Nolan<\/strong><\/a>, but decided to turn it down. <\/p>\n

The callback was supposed to happen in January 2025 when L.A. was going through the wildfires, which personally affected Logan<\/strong>‘s reps. <\/p>\n

\u201cL.A. was on fire, and I had some reps who were dealing with it directly. And, I couldn\u2019t bring myself to do it. It was a dream-come-true callback \u2026 but I couldn\u2019t do it, and I said no to the callback,” Logan<\/strong> told Collider<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Logan<\/strong> said he later had “second thoughts” about turning down the audition, but he later got a call asking him to join the movie when Cosmo Jarvis<\/strong><\/a> dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was available,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019d been saying no to some stuff, thank God. And yeah, I said, \u2018Yeah, I\u2019ll be there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou could have told me I was going to hold a spear in the back, and I would have been fine with it,\u201d he added. \u201cI wanted to bear witness to the process. I wanted to be on his set. But I didn\u2019t realize that it was going to be a set that was going to allow me my process without ever feeling any eyes or judgements. I could just be in my process. And I was surrounded by actors who had similar takes of how to be on a set and be prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n

Logan<\/strong> is currently starring in a popular new CBS series<\/a>. <\/p>\n
