Kelly Osbourne<\/a> has marked the one-year anniversary of father Ozzy\u2019s death by admitting she\u2019s not the same person she was before he passed away. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The Black Sabbath rocker died in July 2025, aged 76, and his youngest daughter Kelly has been open about how much she\u2019s struggling to come to terms with the loss. <\/p>\n
She took to Instagram ahead of the tragic anniversary to share a new post explaining \u201cwhat I\u2019ve learned about grief in the last year\u201d, in which she said that Ozzy\u2019s passing had divided her life \u201cinto two people – the one you were before and the one left behind\u201d. <\/p>\n
Kelly began: \u201cI don\u2019t just mourn the father I lost. I mourn the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name. <\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a grief that steals more than the person you love. It quietly takes the light from your laughter, the innocence from your hope and the stranger you become is someone you\u2019ll spend a lifetime trying to recognise.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile some people think \u201cgrief is missing someone who is gone\u201d, Kelly insisted that the \u201cdeepest sorrow is waking each day longing for the version of yourself who died with them\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nShe continued: \u201cGrief is a language no-one truly speaks until life forces it upon them. It cannot be explained, borrowed or imagined. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou only understand its endless ache when you\u2019ve stood in the unbearable silence, carrying a love that has nowhere left to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe 41-year-old admitted she misses \u201cwho I was before my daddy died\u201d, adding: \u201cBefore my heart became a home for absence. Before every memory became both a blessing and a wound.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKelly concluded her post by writing: \u201cAnd perhaps that is grief\u2019s cruellest truth. Not that death teases the ones we love but that it leaves us living as ghosts of the people we used to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe was quickly inundated with messages of support from people in the comments section of the post, with one writing: \u201cMy dear father passed away 17 years ago and I can tell you that we learn to move forward… however, something changes inside us! We’ll never be the same person again.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cFeel embraced, dear Kelly! Your father changed lives forever! Ozzy is a true ROCK LEGEND!!!! I\u2019m grateful!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAs another added: \u201cIt’s been 6 years since I lost my dad. The deepest grief is often the shadow cast by the deepest love, not of only losing him but myself as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile a third praised Kelly: \u201cThank you for putting that into words.\u201d<\/p>\n
