KJ Apa punched in the face by Cole Sprouse after drug revelation<\/p>\n
The actors starred as Jughead and Archie respectively in the beloved teen TV series, and became close friends during their time working on the show, which ran from 2017 to 2023. <\/p>\n
KJ made a guest appearance on Cole\u2019s brother Dylan\u2019s Wildmen podcast to discuss his time on the programme, and said that Cole has never held back when it comes to sharing his views. <\/p>\n
KJ said: \u201cHe punched me in the face! He hit me because we were in a strip club and, at this time, I was doing a lot of drugs and a lot of my close friends were worried about me.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd he had learned that I was doing drugs again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKJ added that it was a \u201clove punch\u201d, with Dylan interjecting: \u201cIt was kind of a wake-up punch\u201d. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYeah. No, it was a wake-up punch,\u201d KJ agreed. <\/p>\n
\nAs for his \u2018bromance\u2019 with Cole, KJ previously told Glamour magazine that it took some work for them to get to where they are today. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cHe\u2019s a good guy. It took us a while for us to become close. We go camping \u2013 we actually drove back to LA from Vancouver which was sick \u2013 a really nice trip. And we\u2019ve been camping out in Canada, which is really beautiful too.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIt\u2019s not the first time that KJ – who has four-year-old son Sasha with his ex-girlfriend Clara Berry – has discussed quitting drugs, as he previously told Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM show that it was fatherhood that \u201cforced me to get sober\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cA lot of things that I realised I had to button up, I buttoned up, and I realised that there\u2019s no other way for me to do it.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHonestly, my relationship with my higher power.\u00a0Sasha\u00a0being a gift that saved my life. I truly believe\u00a0Sasha, having\u00a0Sasha\u00a0saved my life. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou know, you have a kid and then suddenly you understand the idea of murder. You know, that like, you can empathise with why someone would kill someone, because you love someone so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd that\u2019s that same feeling that I go, \u2018I love you so much more than me\u2019. And in order to, I have to sacrifice all these things for you and that\u2019s what a good parent does.\u201d<\/p>\n
