The Another Level singer and Katie dated between 1998 and 2000 and were one of the most high-profile celebrity couples of that era, ultimately splitting due to Katie’s jealousy over his friendship with Victoria Beckham, who he teamed up with on the single Out of Your Mind.<\/p>\n
Dane now lives in Dubai and has been watching with interest as the saga unfolds between Katie and her alleged self-made millionaire husband Lee, who also lives in the UAE city.<\/p>\n
The Freak Me hitmaker has not been surprised by Lee’s astonishing claims since marrying Katie, because everyone knows he\u2019s an expert at \u201ctalking rubbish\u201d.<\/p>\n

But Dane and his girlfriend Nicole are following the drama playing out like everyone else. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Contact Music on behalf of Zingo\u00a0Bingo, he said: “I mean, obviously, being in Dubai I know people who know him, it\u2019s all just very bizarre. I don\u2019t think anything that has been said is true. I don\u2019t get it. He must know that people know he\u2019s talking rubbish.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s bizarre. I\u2019m hooked on it as well. My missus tells me new updates and it\u2019s like madness. I just don\u2019t know when it\u2019s going to stop. But it is funny.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAmong Lee\u2019s outrageous claims are that he was kidnapped when he went missing in Dubai, that he has adopted Katie\u2019s kids and that he is lining up a bid to buy Chelsea FC. Lee has also been outed by The Sun newspaper trying to sell an alleged sex tape of him and Katie.<\/p>\n
\nDane, 46, also revealed he made the decision to reach out to Katie, 48, to check on her amid the unfolding drama with fourth husband Lee. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI was having a conversation with my missus and I went, \u2018I\u2019m going to ask her.\u2019 I literally messaged her and said, \u2018Look, is this some sort of wind-up or what?\u2019 I hadn\u2019t spoken to her in years. I was just like, \u2018What is going on?\u2019 She didn\u2019t really say much.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I would say we\u2019re friendly. If we saw each other we\u2019d say hello, I\u2019ve got nothing against Kate and probably vice versa.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDane appears in Katie\u2019s new Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, in which he discusses their high-profile romance.<\/p>\n
\nAnd the singer admits his appearance in the programme allowed him to reconcile with what it was like being in a relationship with Britain\u2019s biggest glamour model and being one of the most talked-about couples in the UK.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThe interview was about what it was like being in that sort of relationship back in the day. My memory is terrible anyway, so I don\u2019t remember a lot of it. But it was big. I was trying to negotiate a relationship whilst having all that in your face. It was obviously too much to deal with, especially for me. <\/p>\n
\n“It was a different time for me. I wouldn\u2019t be able to do that now and I wouldn\u2019t do that now. Looking back at it, it was a bit like, \u2018Oh s***, I remember that. That was hard work, that was crazy.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cKatie remembers everything, I don\u2019t really remember anything. I had to be reminded.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI knew the team doing it so I was like why not have a chat about it and remember some bits and pieces. I get asked all the time so I just thought I\u2019d answer some questions on it. There were some things that I just totally forgot about. Things were put in newspapers and were out there but you forget at the time because you just throw it out of your head.\u201d<\/p>\n
