The Scrubs<\/em> revival will look a little different in season 2 following multiple cast exits.<\/p>\n

Multiple outlets confirmed on Monday, July 20, that Joel Kim Booster<\/strong>, who played Dr. Kevin Park in season 1, will not return. X Mayo<\/strong>, who recurred as Charge Nurse Raymond, is also not set to be back in season 2.<\/p>\n

16 cast members are confirmed to be back<\/a> \u2014 including returning stars Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke<\/strong> and Donald Faison<\/strong>. Out of the new group of interns introduced in season 1, Ava Bunn<\/strong> has been promoted to series regular.<\/p>\n

The rest of the actors playing interns \u2014 Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi<\/strong> and Amanda Morrow<\/strong> \u2014 are set to recur in season 2. Scrubs<\/em> is also expanding with new characters such as Rachel Bilson<\/strong>\u2018s Charlie.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMost of the original Scrubs cast is reprising their roles for the highly anticipated revival \u2014 but who else is new to the show? Scrubs, which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, followed the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital. The hit series starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Judy Reyes, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t a show about the kids, but the audience is curious about their family life and home life, and so we do want to show a little bit of that as well,\u201d showrunner Aseem Batra<\/strong> told Deadline<\/em> in April.<\/p>\n

Other members of the cast such as John C. McGinley <\/strong>and Judy Reyes<\/strong> are still recurring amid filming other projects outside of Scrubs.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBoth shows have been amazing and working with us to get those performers over to Vancouver [where Scrubs films],\u201d Batra added. \u201cSo we\u2019ll do our very best to keep them in the fold, because they are part of this in a big way, but we\u2019re happy for their success in other areas, and we\u2019d just love them back as much as we can get them.\u201d<\/p>\n
