Steven \u201cSteve\u201d McBee Sr.<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s family experienced an emotional goodbye during the latest episode of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have some hard days ahead, but it won\u2019t be anything like this,\u201d Steve\u2019s eldest son, Steven McBee Jr.<\/a><\/strong>, told his family on the Monday, July 20, episode of the Bravo series<\/a> as they drove together from Missouri to South Dakota watch their father begin his mandated prison time<\/a> at FPC Yankton.<\/p>\n

Steve\u2019s ex-wife, Kristi McBee<\/strong> \u2014 with whom he shares four sons \u2014 was on hand during the five-hour drive, serving as a source of support for their children. (The episode was filmed<\/a> in December 2025.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got the bus because we all just wanted to spend as much time together as possible<\/a>,\u201d she told the cameras as footage of the large bus driving through snowy terrain flashed across the screen.<\/p>\n

As the camera panned around the bus, Steve\u2019s sons, Steven, 33, Jesse<\/strong>, Cole<\/strong> and Brayden McBee<\/strong><\/a>, all tried to keep their emotions in check. However, it was clear that the sadness of the day was felt by them all, including Jesse\u2019s wife, Alli McBee<\/strong><\/a>, who had puffy eyes from crying.<\/p>\n

In the background, Blues Saraceno\u2019s 2013 song \u201cCarry Me Back Home<\/a>\u201d played, setting the tone for the melancholy journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoodnight, my dear, be still your worried heart \/ Keep me in your prayers, and we\u2019ll never be apart,\u201d the American musician sang while playing the guitar.<\/p>\n

Kristi could be seen wiping tears from her eyes as a \u201cFederal Prison Camp\u201d sign appeared, telling everyone she\u2019s been \u201cdreading this moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kristi \u2014 who divorced Steve in 2019<\/a> after 28 years of marriage amid his affair with Galyna Saltkovska<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 then told her boys and their significant others, \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad has always been our biggest hope. Kinda the person to rally us and give us confidence in any situation,\u201d Jesse revealed during a confessional. \u201cNo matter what we do, no matter what we say, we can\u2019t change what\u2019s happening right now. I think that\u2019s the hardest part.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steve, who remained off camera while on the bus, tried to lighten the mood by checking on Cole\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, Kacie Adkison<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 the only person at that point in time not starting to tear up.<\/p>\n

\u201cKacie, you good?\u201d Steve, 54, asked, to which she nodded. \u201cShe\u2019s the rock here,\u201d the patriarch said.<\/p>\n

Kacie \u2014 who is pregnant with her and Cole\u2019s second baby \u2014 made a joke, telling her future father-in-law, \u201cI\u2019m ready to get rid of ya.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comment broke the tension on the bus and everyone let out a little \u2014 but much needed \u2014 laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I love ya,\u201d Steve told her, before he made his way off the bus and outside into the snow alone.<\/p>\n

Steve yelled back, \u201cBye, baby,\u201d seemingly talking to his granddaughters, Blair and Summer, who were both under the age of 1 when he reported to prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove you, dad,\u201d Steven, 33, said as both he and Cole began to cry back in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

As Steve exited the bus, baby Blair began to cry and the rest of the group huddled at the window to see him make his way to the gate.<\/p>\n

Steve wore a green hooded sweatshirt, jeans, sneakers and was carrying what appeared to be a Bible as he left his family to start serving his time.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo see him walking away into prison by himself, it is a top three hardest day in my life,\u201d Steven later told the cameras. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say that it\u2019s broken our spirit, but we\u2019re damn close to being there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steve reported to prison on December 1, 2025, after pleading guilty to one count of crop insurance fraud in November 2024. He was sentenced in October 2025 to two years behind bars<\/a> and two years of supervised release.<\/p>\n

Steve, who founded McBee Farms & Cattle Co., was ordered to pay $4 million in restitution and $3 million in fines.<\/p>\n
