Fox Sports announcer John Strong<\/strong> mistook Matt Damon<\/strong><\/a> for Brad Pitt<\/strong><\/a> while calling out celebrity guests at the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrad Pitt among the fans here,\u201d Strong, 41, said while announcing famous faces inside MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, July 19, right before fellow announcer Stu Holden<\/strong> set him straight. \u201cThat\u2019s Matt Damon,\u201d his colleague corrected him before the pair laughed about Strong\u2019s on-air gaffe.<\/p>\n

As cameras moved on to other celebrity attendees<\/a>, Strong admitted that star-spotting wasn\u2019t his forte. \u201cI\u2019m letting you take the rest of these guys,\u201d the announcer said in the mic. \u201cI got cocky after the first three, and I missed an absolute sitter so I\u2019m done.\u201d<\/p>\n
