Model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old model left the British capital for a new life in Los Angeles in 2015, but she has continued to return to England in the hope to win over its people, jokingly comparing getting the country’s approval to making her parents Pandora and Charles’ proud.<\/p>\n
In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper’s Culture magazine, Cara joked: “I don’t think English people like me much\u2026<\/p>\n
“That’s why I can’t stop coming back and trying. It’s not to prove myself. Who am I proving myself for? But maybe there is a part of me just trying to make my parents proud – and I see England as my parents, you know?”<\/p>\n

Cara shot to fame as a model, but the Suicide Squad star decided to leave that chapter of her life behind when she moved to the USA in 2015 for a fresh start.<\/p>\n
\nThe beauty explained: “I wanted to reinvent myself. I had to break free, whether from holding myself back or from how people saw me.<\/p>\n
\n“I just hated myself so much, and I was just so fragile. I didn’t have a thick enough skin for it then – but I do now.”<\/p>\n
\nOn Friday (17.07.26), Cara made a bold return to the spotlight with her topless photoshoot for Playboy magazine.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It’s so fun being naked.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Only Murders in the Building alum – the first open lesbian woman to appear on the publication’s magazine cover – found the racy photoshoot “so liberating” as Cara felt she was embracing her sexuality and body on her own terms.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I love the sense in the freedom of owning my sexuality and owning my body, and I think for the first time instead of getting naked for a brand or an editorial, this felt more like my choice.<\/p>\n
\n“Like, of course it’s always been my choice, but it felt like something so liberating. That to me is sexy.”<\/p>\n
\nCara loved how her girlfriend, singer Minke – real name Leah Mason – reacted to her sexy shots.<\/p>\n
\nShe shared: “I was texting my girlfriend earlier, and I was sending her the photos, and she was like, ‘Oh my god, you look so pretty.’<\/p>\n
\n“And I was like, ‘But I’m just a silly baby pretending to be a sexy lady, and sometimes, that’s how it feels.'”<\/p>\n
\n“You know, everyone has that kind of polarity and dichotomy, and so kind of playing within that and still having fun while trying on this, like I’m a sexy woman because you can be all of those things.”<\/p>\n
