Kelly Clarkson <\/b><\/a>knows better than most that there are some very significant differences between performing onstage versus in front of a camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would get fired by NBC, but I don\u2019t work there anymore,\u201d Clarkson, 44, said during her Friday, July 17, concert<\/a> at Caesar\u2019s Palace Vegas, while stroking a fan\u2019s sequin jacket sleeve, in a video shot by @jpasc24. \u201cWe are sad about [it because] it was a fun show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson wrapped her eponymous The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/i> in May after seven seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everybody probably gets the timing,\u201d she said on the Today Show<\/i> in February, addressing her reasons<\/span><\/a> for ending the show. \u201cOur family life, the dynamic changed a bit, and it has changed for a minute now, so I think \u2026 it\u2019s one of those things when you kinda start seeing life with how it is precious, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFor Kelly Clarkson, the choice wasn\u2019t about walking away \u2014 it was about making space for what mattered most. After months of speculation, the singer revealed on February 2 that she\u2019s leaving her daytime talk show after its current seventh season. \u201cThis was not an easy decision,\u201d she said in an emotional Instagram post. \u201cStepping [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock<\/b>, died in 2025 after a private battle with cancer at the age of 48. The former music manager is survived by his four children: River Rose, 11, and Remington, 9, whom he shared with Clarkson, as well as Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18, whom he shared with ex Melissa Ashworth<\/b>.<\/p>\n

While Clarkson briefly took a hiatus from The Kelly Clarkson Show <\/i>following Blackstock\u2019s death, she returned before the eventual finale.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know everybody thinks, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s quitting,\u2019 but I still have other jobs. I\u2019m still doing stuff,\u201d she added on Today <\/i>at the time. \u201cThere\u2019s just too much on the plate. I was like, \u2018You know what, It\u2019s time to kinda pull back.\u2019 It\u2019s amazing, that\u2019s what was really hard [because] the crew\u2019s been incredible. \u2026 That was a really hard thing for me, but an easy decision as a momma.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the months since wrapping The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/i><\/span><\/a>, the singer returned to her Las Vegas residency. (Clarkson initially postponed the shows in light of Blackstock\u2019s illness and death.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKelly Clarkson got emotional while discussing the upcoming end of her daytime talk show. \u201cI\u2019m not crying,\u201d Clarkson, 44, joked as the tears flowed during the Wednesday, May 27, episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. \u201cI\u2019m like, shut it off, it\u2019s OK.\u201d The talk show host was overcome with emotion when her guest Rita Wilson [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny, you go to those HR meetings and you\u2019re, like, \u2018Nobody on the road would last,\u2019\u201d she quipped on Friday, comparing her show to being a touring musician. \u201cIt\u2019s just a different world, you know? I was 19 on a bus with dudes, what, I can\u2019t do what? \u2018Yeah, that\u2019s completely inappropriate.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
