Josh Duhamel<\/a> has shared the moment he realised he was “too old” for his wife.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Josh DUhamel is 21 years older than Audra Mari<\/p>\n
The 53-year-old actor has a much younger sister, Kassidy, and admitted seeing a baby photo of her drove home the size of the age gap between himself and 32-year-old Audra Mari – who he married in 2022 after four years of dating – because she and his sibling were born just “months apart”.<\/p>\n
Speaking on The HoneyDew With Ryan Sickler, Josh laughed: \u201cKassidy came along … and I was playing football at Minot State University. Go Beavers! <\/p>\n
“Warming up on the sideline. And I remember looking up at the stands, and I see my mom and [she] has this bump. And I\u2019m like, \u2018What the\u2014 Is my mom pregnant?\u2019 … I was 21 years old … and she\u2019s having another baby. And I was like, \u2018Oh my god, you gotta be kidding me!\u2019 So, now we love it.”<\/p>\n

The Win a Date with Tad Hamilton star then told how there is a photo of him at 21 holding the “little bitty infant” Kassidy.<\/p>\n
\nHe laughed as he recalled: \u201cI looked at the photo, and I looked at my wife, and I said, \u2018You know, you and Kassidy are exactly the same age.\u2019<\/p>\n
\n“[I thought] ‘Is that a highlight or a lowlight? I\u2019m not sure’. [I told Audra], ‘Ooof, I am officially too old for you\u2019 … They\u2019re literally like months apart in age. <\/p>\n
\n“I never looked at it like that until I saw that photo. I was like, \u2018Wait a second.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Ransom Canyon star – who has Axl, 12, with ex-wife Fergie, and Shepherd, two, and Rocca, two months, with his spouse – recently admitted he initially ruled out dating Audra because he thought she was “too young” for him but she soon changed his mind.<\/p>\n
\nAppearing on The Skinny Confidential podcast, he said: “We had a barbecue at my house .. “She and I had been in contact because I knew she was from North Dakota, she’d done really, really well in Miss USA [beauty pageant]. I wasn’t even inviting her because I wanted to date her because she was too young for me to be honest. <\/p>\n
\n“I wasn’t looking for [that]. I’m not going to be that dude. So I invited her and she comes to the door and I’m like: ‘Holy s***. [She’s] so beautiful.’ <\/p>\n
\n“I was still like: ‘No, no, no’.” <\/p>\n
\nHowever, Josh was won over by Audra after seeing the way she interacted with the children at the barbecue – admitting she came across as “really wholesome” and reminded him of “home”. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I remember her taking care of these kids at the party, making sure they had enough [to eat] and I was like that reminds me of home and the kind of girl I want to really be with. <\/p>\n
\n“And I’d gone through a couple of relationships with girls here in LA and it just wasn’t the same. There’s something really wholesome about it and I think that was when I was like: ‘Maybe she’s not too young’ … Maybe I am that dude. I don’t know. “<\/p>\n
