The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys<\/em> stars are gearing up to welcome Steven \u201cSteve\u201d McBee Sr.<\/strong><\/a> home early amid his two-year prison stint<\/a>, Us Weekly<\/em> can exclusively confirm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThankfully, we\u2019re down to less than two months now before he gets out,\u201d Steve\u2019s eldest son, Steven McBee Jr<\/strong>.<\/a>, exclusively told Us<\/em>\u00a0on Thursday, July 16, confirming that the farmer will not have to serve his complete sentence for crop insurance fraud in South Dakota, where he is currently being held.<\/p>\n

Steven, 33, revealed that Steve, 54, was \u201cable to get into a program that allows him to cut down on the time served.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that once his dad is released from FPC Yankton in Yankton, \u201cHe\u2019ll be under home confinement for four to six months, but he gets out early.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to FPC Yankton for comment.<\/p>\n

Steve and his four sons, Steven, Jesse<\/strong>, Cole<\/strong> and Brayden McBee<\/strong><\/a>, were thrust into the spotlight when season 1 of their Bravo series premiered in 2024, highlighting their life running McBee Farm & Cattle Co. in Missouri.<\/p>\n

Once the cameras stopped rolling that season, Steve made headlines of his own when he was charged with one count of crop insurance fraud in November 2024.<\/p>\n

Steve pleaded guilty that same month and confessed that his farm sold \u201cmore than 1.2 million bushels of corn and nearly 416,000 bushels of soybeans\u201d to another party in 2018, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

In October 2025, Steve was sentenced to 24 months<\/a> in prison with an additional two years of supervised release. He was ordered to pay $4,022,124 in restitution. During a June episode of The McBee Dynasty<\/em><\/a>, fans learned that Steve \u2014 and his farm \u2014 were also ordered to pay $3 million in fines.<\/p>\n

A judge ruled that Steve had to self-surrender on December 1, 2025, to begin his prison stay, which fans will see play out on the Monday, July 20, episode of the Bravo series.<\/p>\n

According to Steven, his dad will be getting out of jail after serving less than one year behind bars \u2014 but every minute he\u2019s been gone, their family has felt his absence.<\/p>\n

Steven told Us<\/em><\/a> on Thursday that his dad leaving was a \u201cdrastic change,\u201d noting that they\u2019ve \u201ctried to fill in the hole that he left by having dinners at my house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steven, who is the current CEO of their business<\/a>, explained that his brothers Cole and Jesse come over frequently with their significant others and their daughters but something is missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not the same without [my dad] there, without a doubt,\u201d Steven confessed. \u201cHis laugh, his jokes, his uplifting, positive attitude \u2014 we\u2019ve been missing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Steven teased that viewers will see the emotional prison drop off in the next episode, behind-the-scenes he\u2019s constantly been in touch with his dad.<\/p>\n

Steven revealed that he emails Steve \u201conce every week<\/a>, week and a half\u201d and that they talk on the phone \u201cprobably once every two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to Steve\u2019s return to Missouri, Steven said that their family dinners is what he\u2019s most looking forward to \u2014 and hopefully seeing his dad slow down.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guy has been running businesses since he was 22 years old,<\/a> so going on 30 plus years, and he\u2019s just been go, go, go. His phone\u2019s constantly blowing up,\u201d Steven told Us<\/em> of his dad\u2019s life before prison. \u201cAnd I think this has given him a good opportunity to take a step back and say, \u2018OK, do we need to take over the world with businesses? Do we need to have 100 car washes? Do we need to build out?\u2019 No, we don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Steven is hopeful that his dad will be able to fully \u201cenjoy the things that mean the most to us,\u201d which are the family moments and \u201cwatching the sun set on the farm,\u201d he will be working with his sons soon enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as my dad\u2019s role, whenever he gets out, we laugh around the family, and we say, \u2018We\u2019re [going to] have him on a leash whenever he gets out,\u2019\u201d Steven teased. \u201cHe\u2019s going to be very limited to what he can do.
