It\u2019s arguably the hottest movie of the summer \u2013 Christopher Nolan<\/strong>\u2019s The Odyssey<\/em><\/a>, an epic adaptation of Homer<\/strong>\u2019s Greek poem about Odysseus\u2019 years-long journey home after the Trojan War.<\/p>\n

The film, which stars Matt Damon<\/strong><\/a> as the world-weary hero, Anne Hathaway<\/strong><\/a> as his long-suffering wife Penelope and Tom Holland<\/strong><\/a> as their son Telemachus, is already playing in theaters, and it\u2019s set to be one of the year\u2019s biggest blockbusters.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth seeing The Odyssey<\/em> in 70mm IMAX because it\u2019s the first film in history to be shot entirely in that format. Christopher Nolan<\/strong><\/a> previously filmed sequences of The Dark Knight<\/em> with Heath Ledger<\/strong><\/a> and Oppenheimer<\/em><\/a> in IMAX, but the technology wasn\u2019t there yet for a full feature to be shot in that format. Now that it\u2019s here, Nolan is the first to do it, and he picked the perfect story to do justice to an epic canvas.<\/p>\n
