Josh Duhamel<\/strong><\/a> jokingly recalled a specific moment when he realized his 21-year age gap with wife Audra Mari.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duhamel, 53, appeared on the Monday, July 13, episode of \u201cThe HoneyDew With Ryan Sickler\u201d podcast<\/a> where he discussed the age gaps<\/a> between him and his siblings. He specifically brought up how his youngest sister, Cassidy, was born when he was in college.<\/p>\n

\u201cCassidy came along and I was playing football at Minot State University. I remember looking up at the stands and I saw my mom and had this bump,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018Is my mom pregnant?\u2019 I\u2019m 21 years old and she\u2019s having another baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until recently that Duhamel realized the connection to his wife.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAfter a high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce from Fergie, Josh Duhamel sparked a low-key romance with now-wife Audra Mari. \u201cEveryone told me that after you get married you feel different,\u201d Mari exclusively gushed to Us Weekly in September 2022. \u201cTo be honest, I never really believed them and I thought it would feel the same [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a picture of me holding Cassidy as a 21-year-old young man with this little bitty infant,\u201d he continued. \u201cI looked at the photo and I looked at my wife and I said, \u2018You and Cassidy are exactly the same age.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Duhamel quipped: \u201cI am officially too old for you. They\u2019re literally like months apart in age. I never looked at it like that until I saw that photo. I was like, \u2018Wait a second.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor was previously married to Fergie<\/strong><\/a>, with whom he shares 13-year-old son Axl. The former couple got married in 2009 and announced their split in 2017. Their divorce was finalized in 2019.<\/p>\n

Duhamel subsequently found love with Mari, 32, who he dated for two years before proposing in 2022. They tied the knot that same year.<\/p>\n

The Ransom Canyon<\/em> star exclusively shared details about the spontaneous proposal with Us Weekly<\/em> in 2022, saying, \u201cI just sort of decided last-minute that was how I wanted to do it. I didn\u2019t have anything planned. I didn\u2019t have a ring yet. I was like, \u2018OK, you\u2019re gonna do this today. Today\u2019s the day.\u2019 And that\u2019s just how it all kind of happened. \u2026 I coordinated with [the hotel concierge] there to make sure that bottle was floating up to shore as we were walking out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Duhamel also offered a glimpse into his eldest child\u2019s bond with his now-wife. \u201cHe is very excited about [our engagement]. That was a big part of it. They get along great. It\u2019s been good,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. (Duhamel shares 2-year-old son Shepherd and 2-month-old daughter Rocca with Mari.<\/p>\n

While reflecting on fatherhood, Duhamel opened up about his parenting approach, telling Us, \u201cI want to make sure that I\u2019m making him get out there and do things, making sure that he knows he\u2019s safe and secure but also can go out and take risks. I also want to be a good role model for him. Because he is watching very closely.\u201d<\/p>\n
