Candace Cameron Bure has swapped glitz and glamour for pure “grit” after signing up for one of the hardest challenges she\u2019s \u201cever faced\u201d. <\/p>\n

Candace Cameron Bure taking on brutal jungle TV challenge<\/p>\n

The Full House star is one of 15 famous faces taking part in season five of Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test,\u00a0which sees the celebrities deployed in Malaysia to \u201cendure the world\u2019s toughest test in the most hostile environment a soldier could operate in… the jungle.\u201d<\/p>\n

During their time on the show, the celebrities will have to tackle \u201charsh jungle warfare tasks\u201d, including searching an underground bunker and being suspected hundreds of feet up in the air. <\/p>\n

Candace, 50, took to Instagram to share the news of her new gig with fans, posting a snap of herself in her jungle gear and writing alongside it: \u201cNo glitz, no glamour, all grit!! I said YES to one of the hardest challenges I\u2019ve EVER faced!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The screen star will also have to face competition from her fellow celebrities, including Kate Hudson<\/a>\u2019s actor brother Oliver Hudson, reality star Brandi Glanville, actress Ruby Rose, YouTube comedian Hannah Stocking and actor\/singer David Charvet. <\/p>\n

\nSelling Sunset\u2019s Breana Tiesi is also embarking on the challenge, and wrote on her Instagram page: \u201cI still can\u2019t believe I did this – by far the worst \/ best thing I have ever endured.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nOne person commented on the post: \u201cOmggg I feel like this is about to be sooooo good! Can\u2019t wait to watch!\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAs another added: \u201cI will be cheering and screaming for you through the television – proud of you babe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe fourth season of Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test was won by Olympic gold medallist Shawn Johnson East\u00a0and\u00a0The Real Housewives of New Jersey\u00a0star\u00a0Gia Giudice.<\/p>\n

\nSpeaking after the show aired, Shawn said previous contestants had given her some helpful advice to keep her motivated. <\/p>\n

\nShe told TV Insider: \u201cWe have a lot of friends who have been on the first three seasons. A lot of advice \u2013 it\u2019s only so transferable because every season\u2019s very different and you don\u2019t know what the challenges are going to be. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cBut I think everyone said the same thing, which is just focus on getting to the next meal. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cBasically don\u2019t look at the bigger picture, just do little steps day by day.\u201d<\/p>\n
